Work had gotten in the way of my rule list, but never fret, I am off at five (in six minutes) where then I will be free to do whatever the hell I want.

The biggest problem with reporting for any reason other than harassment/homophobia/personal attacks/racism /other more important things is NOW the thread is going to be on their radar. And the mods might take it upon themselves to get rid of whatever else they want to. Art, fanfics, comments. Whatever. Now we are being watched.

I have really not seen much of this thread (literally I looked once several weeks ago and then today) but I am 100% subscribed to this Falon'Din as a walking glitter bomb headcanon that I keep seeing... 


And hey so what is the deal with fanart? Is it uncouth to just drop your own? Is the porny stuff generally unwelcome? >_>

We don't know what the deal with fan art is anymore... not until Ave makes and posts the chart that is going to clear everything up, anyway. There seems to be a lot of discrepancies as of late...

The only rules about fanart I know are to source if it's not yours, and stick NSFW stuff under a spoiler tag.  Otherwise, it's all cool, at least where the thread is generally concerned.

EDIT: Also make sure you source art - even gifs that were edited.  That's about it.  NSFW under tags and frankly if you can be upfront that it's not SFW(I haven't seen anyone NOT do this but...you never know).  I know a lot of people check this at work. Drop in your own though. If you think it's too porny just drop a link and say it's NSFW.

I'm really sorry for what happened to you. I know what it's like to be lied to by someone you trust very much. I had to end the relationship with my ex because he was a pathological liar... he meant the world to me, he told me he lied to protect me, but that's just bullshit. I can handle the truth, what I can't handle is feeling betrayed day by day. Bah.
My motto is 'move on' now. It has been more than a year and it still hurts, but I'm getting better (and stronger). I hope you feel the same.

My Lavellan is hurt but she's trying to go on. The sad thing is, she doesn't smile so often now, and her laugh is what keeps her going. She hides her fears under witty remarks, now she's just colder, and her judgements are becoming harsher.

 

But she's still the Inquisitor, even if she hates responsability she has grown up a lot during the game. She doesn't admit it, but the Inquisition is her home now, she sees no point in going back to her clan. They didn't like her so much before, now that she has no Vallaslin...

When she sees Solas again, she's probably going to punch him. Then cry and maybe hug him. Maybe.

Interesting question... Probably Tyrion, then Dorne, Danny and John Snow... I really appreciate Stannis as a personality but he wants to be a king so much he'd be my last choice...

 

Mhm~ I think Stannis would make a good king, but I can't help feeling he would be regressive or static at best, rather than progressive. I don't necessarily mean in a social values sense - Stannis' stance on rape is so eminently worthy of respect - but more in the sense that his vision of the 7K is him, on the IT, ruling all 7K the way they've been ruled for years (as a feudal society with a High King equivalent) and I really want to see a systemic change (no more IT, possibly no more 7K). 

 

Also there's a whole trend of women taking power in the asoiaf that Stannis coming out on top at the end would undo - Stannis represents too much of what was right about the old system (noblesse oblige and all that - I think Stannis is a great guy) and I like to see asoiaf as a story that is about the old system (goods bads inbetweens) breaking down and turning into something new.

Traditional values and social structures such as guest rite and kingship have all but completely broken down. The Iron Islands, another bastion of tradition, had a king who desired to break tradition by passing his throne to his daughter rather than to his brothers or son. There is a woman secretly studying at the Citadel. The Targaryen throne, which legislated the loi laique that women could not inherit the Iron Throne, is being held by a Dragon Queen - and there is no reason to believe that she will step down for the “legitimate” male Targaryen heir. Even the status quo of Essos has fallen apart - the ancient slaver cities being uprooted by a Khaleesi who refuses to join the Dosh Khaleen upon her husband’s death. 

 

Regardless of the conservatism of the North, the narrative trajectory seems to hint that the Northern lords may not have much of a choice as to whether the North is ruled by a King or a Queen.

I think my Lavellan's initial reaction is going to surprise them both; calm, composed, focused on getting answers out of him.  I have a feeling that however we confront Solas, it's probably going to be in the middle of something horribly dangerous, and she can't afford to go to pieces under those circumstances.  The super-sad puppy eyes and tears come later.

 

As for getting back together, it would really depend on his actions.  My Lavellan is a loving, sweet, forgiving person, but she's already been burned once with Solas. IMO the DA:I relationship with him is fundamentally flawed with how much information he hides and withholds.  It'd have to be very, very clear that they weren't so much rekindling the prior romance as starting with a clean slate and an even playing field.  She's not going to stand for the "I know better than you" bull**** a second time.

 

I would like to think it will be something like the beginning of the modern day Dr Who.

And 110% support of glitterotica Arlathan. You can't tell me the Elvhen pantheon forewent such an opportunity of badass beautification. (It probably involved blood magic however. So like.. bloody glitter?)

 

I could definitely see some messed up practices of beautification. Wasn't there some crazy rich woman in the 1500s who would bathe in servants blood?

 

The glitter is made of tears. That's how you know it is high quality.
