I try to put a positive twist on that one because I was kind of irked by it only because I DONT remove my vallaslin.  Your Lavellan is clearly a bit self-conscious after he removes because she can't see what she looks like without them at that point. So I think it's reassurance that she's still as beautiful as ever.

Or you can interpret that he thought they were totally gross - which is what a lot of fanfics do.

I like that interpretation. The dialogue I filled in in my head, as she adjusted to them being gone, was that I expected her to ask him something self-conscious like, "How do I look?" So, with BW's usual economy of words, his compliment fills that need, I suppose.

Ah, no, I think he says the beautiful even if you decide to keep the Vallaslin...

Hmm, I just played through every iteration, and I don't think so. It struck me at the time that it was a very particular line after they're gone, but I can check again. Although I like how tells her that she's perfect and how he sees her under those "cruel markings." (ouch!)

Well discussing the break up scene has bummed me out so lets take a look at this smut I drew last night.

Ah yes...that's better. :)

I'm so sorry for bringing everyone down! I'm just still processing...   :crying: The smut definitely helps. :D

It has Solas, when Cassandra asks what he believes in his reply is: Cause and effect. Wisdom as its own reward, and the inherent right of all free willed people to exist

That is pretty much an atheist's creed.

It's also one of the sexiest things I think I've ever heard/read. Wisdom is its own reward. That's hot.

No it isn't. Vader, Vater, pater, padre, father... Nope.

I'm sure you'll agree that with SW George Lucas set out to write a primal story arc... The Dark Father, whether intentionally or subconsciously, named just fits right in there, Freud would say there is no such thing as coincidence...

Freud also said that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I would not worry about it.  We get a few newbies every week or so.  As we're further from release, more people are doing different playthroughs.  We've all gone through the hellspiral.  Don't feel bad that you're felling bad!  I actually am really happy I was impacted by it.  Credit to the writing.  Credit to the animators. Credit to the voice actors.  Hopefully the DLC/next game do it justice and wrap it up nicely.  It'll be a memorable story-line to replay, which is a good thing.

I don't drive, but it always seems the attitude of every driver, new or veteran, is "NO ONE ELSE KNOWS HOW TO ****** DRIVE EXCEPT ME!"

I love it! It's a little quirk of humanity as a whole. xD

I think our main difference comes from the definition of the word spirituality. Which is no one's fault, since there's no real definition to begin, so it's left to our own interpretation, here. I enjoy yours, even though it's not mine, I understand it, it makes sense in a lot of aspects.

And I agree that people want to believe. but faith can be found in so many other areas than man-made religions. Faith doesn't have to be about religions, is what I mean. But we apparently live in a world where the consensus leans towards the contrary

No problem at all. I simply clarified. Glad we understand each other's definition now. :)

The Indiana toll road is the WORST.  You'd think noone knew how to drive in the snow even though it's winter here 10 months out of the year(maybe exaggerating).  It's like the second anyone gets on that highway it's like their life goal to crash their car into the median...or a semi.

Dang straight, and I stand by this till I enter my grave. Which with the drivers here will probably be steel trapped and ablaze. At least my family won't have to pay for cremation.

It's probably my fault. I'm a terrible winter driver, extra cautious, because going to fast leads to death. So I snail along. My husband hates it. But today I couldn't stop at a yellow light (it's an intersection both on a curve and a downward incline and..well, it almost was very bad because someone was turning in front of me, talking on her phone, and another person was turning where I had to turn to not hit the first person...it was a mess. But I didn't die and I also didn't get into an accident so yay!

th

The toll road in Indiana is only second to the bypass around South Bend which is literally the worst road ever to road.

Last time I rode with a person saying that (over and over in increasing volume) I shut my eyes and hoped I'd arrive in one piece.^^

(And yes, I curse at my fellow drivers too *g*)

On topic: Solas would totally freak out in traffic "Stupid shems don't even know how to drive! No wonder magic died in their incapable bodies."

Religion hasn't failed in doing what it was meant to do, which is give hope and inspire, teach morals of a society to people that follow them, and so on. Just because someone can abuse something, doesn't mean it has failed. Much of the culture we have today comes from religion. You wouldn't stop using your computer just because many many *******s use it to steal information from people for malicious intent.

It's the same thing.

I was just thinking now probably every character thread on here..their fans hope their favorite character will have a big part to play in the DLC. But we are very lucky because of how Solas ended.

We are basically the luckiest because we are just about guaranteed Solas is going to be a major player in the future.

I mean, okay, Josie fans may see her In DLC, but really, how much farther can that story go? Blackwall? I'm super excited.
