Lol, I have listened to it about 4 or 5 times and I know I'm having a hard time taking in what's happening. But he says words like "ancient" and "mystery". It's pure Solas fangirl goodness.
So far I'm really enjoying it, to be honest. Maybe because it's about characters that interested me in the first place, and you get to see deeper into who they are, so that's always great for me.
And I totally approve of your weekend plans. I'll probably do the same!

I'm pretty sure Solas would hate the likes of Frank Underwood. Though he might admire his indomitable focus.

Awww...he's a HUNK. Not as interesting of a character but there is a certain sweetness to the romance that was refreshing after the angst fest that is Solas'.
I do have a bit of a soft-spot for him after DA:O - I wasn't like fangirling over him like some were but he was totes adorbs with his running. Same thing in DA2. I found him more interesting than my own group of friends. Also, Greg Ellis' voice is just...nice.
I have to run his romance with a Trevelyan though because I would be tempted to romance Solas again and again. God help me if I put that mod in. Which I probably will.

I want to give Cullen's romance a go before I judge compare it to Solas' romance, but I think it's just normal PR stuff to keep you playing, and Cullen's romance is pretty popular if you look at the number of thread pages alone. *eyeballs Cullen thread*
Finished Cullen romance, currently working on Blackwall romance but I'm writing Solas (with a dash of Abelas/OC) fanfic and I'm still listening to Hallelujah (and other sad things on my Sollavellan playlist). What does that say?
I almost wish I hadn't romanced Solas first. The other romances are good, but I don't think any of them are going to hold a candle to the Solas tragedy. I'll probably play all of them (except Sera's - she just feels more like a younger friend than a romance). But I'm sure my canon will always be Solas.

My first play through was a Trev, then I found Solas and I think I'm elf for life now. Right now I have the Temple of Mythal ready to go and I just keep delaying with side quests on my third play through. Can't decide how much I want to have left to do post break-up. This is supposed to be my completionist/hard game.
I am currently working on a second Cullen romance playthough with my Trevelyan mage, waiting waiting waiting for patch 5 so I can change my Lavellan's nose and continue with that playthough. It is very sweet, if Solas wasn't do damned adorable and charming, I would be a...what's that word..? Cullenite.

I know what you mean. I am trying so hard to progress on my PTs that don't involve f!Lavellan romancing Solas, and I'm basically stuck at the 5hr mark with all of them. (Or, at the newly created mark with my m!Lavellan who I've developed a weird crush on because oh man he's pretty.)
I very much want to romance Dorian, Cass, Sera and Cullen, but a little voice keeps invading my brain. It says go to the character creator. Make a f!Lavellan. Just see what happens. It'll probably be fine. You probably won't just start romancing Solas again. And then... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same here. xD Every time I do Dorian's personal quest I well up and promise, "next time! Next character I'll romance you, you big softie! I love you!" and then, somehow, a f!Lavellan is created. ;_;

No kidding!! After Solas I romanced Dorian with a human noble. That's Dorian we're talking about but he just barely managed to hold my interested and that PT was hella bored!!! Now I'm back to create more Lavellan for Solas, guess I'm a hopeless Solas' fangirl. But do ppl really think Cullen is more interesting??? I saw his romance on Youtube and to tell the truth, I felt asleep in the middle of the video though

I think it's the kinda the case, yeah. I watched my partner play DS2 until the end. BOY DID HE RAGE SO MUCH. It made me laugh and be concerned at the same time. Mostly laughing when he was dying because of accidental suicides, which happened A LOT.

I thought it was pretty hard if you rped a dalish elf or picked many things for the elves. He just kept disapproving my power hungry as$. I had to restart all the time.
