I gotta know, but I'm not brave enough to look at videos, how does he take it?

 

I thought it was pretty hard if you rped a dalish elf or picked many things for the elves. He just kept disapproving my power hungry as$. I had to restart all the time.

 

Same here, but since I knew Cole was gonna be my puppy forever before I started playing DAI, I RP'd my Ilaria being immensely fascinated with spirits and the Fade. Solas was a tough cookie until I started agreeing with him on spirits. x)

The game gave you still the option to kiss him on the balcony, even though you had already rejected his kiss in the Fade?

I played through rejecting him at the Fade scene and on the balcony for science, though I could never break up with him at the final romance scene.  OWWWWW.  Honestly, in the first two scenes he doesn't take it badly at all.  He makes a bit of a sadface, but he's calm and collected.

Hmm, I didn't have that problem with the Elfy things.  I know he disapproves if you're power hungry though!  I even sided with the Templars in my first playthrough and still got to romance him.  I always end up maxing out his approval.

 

Now Sera... I can never get her approval up to save my life.  If getting high approval from Sera was required to save Solas in a future DLC, I would be done.

He takes it pretty well actually. As though disappointed it couldn't bloom but relieved. You have to remember that he's the one that kept saying no, and you had to pursue him. It isn't until the final scene when he became sad. The part when he shakes his head in disbelief as you confess the relationship can't continue between them.

Oh yeah, and imagine romancing the hot ladies! Like.. like the crow lady with the fine ass or that one blind, blighted, dying, trapped on the wall spider lady. I mean you owe her for killing her sister. OOOOhh how about Gwyndolin? Huh? think of all the possibilities!

 

But seriously, you have to be some kind of sadist to play that game, I rage quit at the first boss.

 

Or y'know... that giant woman with the massive, pillowy bosom. Or how about that scorpion/spider woman boss? Aww yis.

 

And yeah. 100% agree. My husband is big into the series, and I've watched him play a lot of it, but every time I've played, it's been a futile exercise in trying to control my body's fight or flight response, and I end up throwing the controller into his lap and running away as a sweaty, trembling mess, head pounding. No. No more.

The first time right after the Fade kiss almost made me feel relieved; he thanks you for agreeing that it was a bad idea and to remain friends. But the one on the balcony was actually heartwrenching... and unexpected, I thought I was locked out of the romance and didn't expect him to tell "I didn't forgot about the kiss". You tell him "Perhaps you should forget it" and he simply answers "Perhaps you're right" and after the "I will always respect you" line. But he seems so sad, specially when he says "Perhaps you're right" I almost changed my plans and felt pretty bad at the first romance scenes with Cullen.

2nd scene - actually kind of relieved - because at that point he's still right on the edge and he's not sure he wants to go through with ti

3rd scene - TERRIBLE. TOTALLY ****** HEARTBROKEN.

So I had the Fade Kiss scene, as y'all know. Afterward, I had the conversation about the kiss, when he apologized, and I said I thought he wanted it, and he said yes, and we started a relationship (I chose the proper relationship started).

 

I know after all this his next quest should be triggering, the one where he asks me to help him rescue a spirit, but it just isn't triggering. I'm pretty sure I have excellent approval from him (freed the mages, and he calls me lethallin), but so far that cut scene (I believe it's the one where he's drinking tea) is not triggering. I just keep asking him questions about the Fade.

 

Any thoughts? Am I being paranoid?

I don't know if that is a bug with the mod or the game.  I know there were some issues with that quest, but I had heard they were fixed.  You may want to load up a save before you head to Skyhold - i know that's a lot of backtracking ...or at least before you kiss him.   Right after the fade that scene should start.  It may be an issue with the mod though, so i would check the nexus forums to see if anyone else has been having trouble.

I did Fade Kiss as soon as I got to Skyhold. I've now run around Western Approach for about two hours and am back in Skyhold.

 

I don't know if that is a bug with the mod or the game.  I know there were some issues with that quest, but I had heard they were fixed.  You may want to load up a save before you head to Skyhold - i know that's a lot of backtracking ...or at least before you kiss him.   Right after the fade that scene should start.  It may be an issue with the mod though, so i would check the nexus forums to see if anyone else has been having trouble.

 

NOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo!!!! Well, I don't have a save pre-Skyhold But I did save right before the Fade Kiss scene (of course).

 

I'll check the forums I would hate to lose all that time spent in Western Approach, sigh. I've spoken to him at least three times now, asking about spirits, and still no cut scene.

Ah, so you did kiss him in the Fade. I was surprised, because as far as I knew, you couldn't get the option to kiss him on the balcony if you hadn't kissed him in the Fade before, hence why.

Or there's a possibility the game thought you rejected the quest. There's always a possibility to deny personal quests when they pop up, I'm afraid it might be the case here.

In regards to the mod, do you know if others who have been able to get the whole way through with no problems - aside from the obvious clipping and lack of VA.
