Ok. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought that.  I don't understand, did she have to keep reloading to try to get his approval high enough. WHAT WAS THE ISSUE HERE?   Also 'HA' to the Dark Souls romance simulator.  So many thoughts, Rabbit. So many dark thoughts. 

 

 

Maybe she's hard line chantry? pro circle? allied with templars? conscripted mages? proud dalish? doesn't ask him about his journeys in the fade?

 

After 160 hours I don't see how she wouldn't know what pushed his buttons. It boggles the mind.

XD I joined the Solas thread whenever I finished his romance, but time gets in the way of me keeping up here and the Cullen thread. Lol, the other threads are really nice....most of them. And I think if our threads combined then BSN might crash.

I just finished my first play through of the game, and I was not anticipating how devastating the end of the romance would be. That said, Solas is probably my favorite Bioware character period- he feels so fleshed out and so real. I'm glad I decided to check out the forums- I've missed a lot of the contextual stuff linked here.

 

You get two hearts.

I'm going to laugh at you when you CAN'T kill Solas and all you get is the happy fluffy ending.   You'll be frowning as he forces you skip with him through rainbow covered fields and riding unicorns into the sunset.

Dorian Pavus.  Dorian Pavus is sassy, beautiful, with enough feels to hold my attention, but not the Solas level of feels hellspiral.

Same here, but since I knew Cole was gonna be my puppy forever before I started playing DAI, I RP'd my Ilaria being immensely fascinated with spirits and the Fade. Solas was a tough cookie until I started agreeing with him on spirits. x)

 

I accidentally saw the balcony break up scene on youtube and OMG, I just wanted to hug him so much!

I think that's why I never talk about the balcony kiss, why Fade-tongue and The Breakup™ gets all my attention. It confuses the hell out of me. It's so sweet, and mushy, and then he says whatever it is he says in elven (where I scramble and see what it means afterwards and squeal), and then he just... walks away?! Excuse me? And Lavellan is just standing there all sultry, staring dreamily at his retreating back and she doesn't look confused in the slightest, but I am.

 

Come back here and give me my fade-to-black boink scene, you egg!

 

I appreciate in earlier conversations that a lot of people prefer the lack of a sex scene, but goddamn it if there was ever going to be one, it should have been there.

 

Urgh. It confuses me so much. T_T Any help to make sense of that scene would be appreciated.

See - I always viewed as sort of his "drop the mic" moment.

 

He tells you "I love you" so he just sort of dives right in. He's like '**** IT. I don't care if she doesn't feel the same, i don't care if she just wants sex. I love her dammit and I'm telling her!'  He kisses you breathless and then you're left standing there like 'omg. my heart.'

 

For me, their first time was after adamant.  they get into a MASSIVE fight over the wardens and it's all passionate and angsty. then they just do it all the time after that.

Okay, cool, that's what the wikia page said. Sigh (so much sighing lol), I wanted to stretch the romance out a bit, but now I suspect I'd better run off and do this quest ASAP. How annoying.

yes.  when he returns, there is one flirt - maybe 2. don't remember. but it's AFTER he comes back to skyhold.

Opposite problem. I find writing a more practical skill. I write like a primary child who writes their paper drunk and at two in the morning.

You...are aware of the heartbreak hellspiral you're getting into, right?  There's no getting out.  Occasional surfacing for air, maybe, but get ready for a prolonged stay in the hellspiral of feels.

However, I agree with you! He's hands down my #1 favorite Bioware character ever.
