I'm reeeeally hoping the combat video will showcase all of the characters' combat tbh rather than just random battles focusing on the Inquisitor only.

I'm trying not to think about it too hard, but I would be tickled if they showed Solas in combat.  See some of these hedge-mage tricks PW alluded to in his writer interview. 

 

That's a confusing question. It seems like something an extrovert would do at least. d: I'd expect that if he is in the dreams of others it is because boundaries of who is where in the Fade and which dreams are whose are less strict than that.

 
I meant that it was a way to talk to people without really talking to people. They'll brush it off as a dream and you can sit pretty knowing you had a nice conversation and got some information out of it. Complete win!

It would be interesting if we, as a player, stumbled into Solas while in the Fade. Nothing big, nothing major, just a metaphorical brushing of shoulders that causes him to investigate further. But more likely is he hears some poor soul got chucked out of a Fade tear and comes looking for us.  

 

I've been thinking that it may go something like: we walk into a village and he's just there, leaning casually against the side of a building watching us before sauntering up and announcing, "Oh, there you are. I'm coming with you." As though the whole thing is so obvious we shouldn't be arguing with him at all. 

 

Yea, not a big fan of that chin tattoo either, but I'm sure that is just an option and we won't have to have them. Anyways I'm glad that you can play as a mage qunari. That sounds like a very conflicting PC in terms of race and the fact they are a mage. Also glad that we are not playing Serrebas mages. Not a big fan of having to see my PC muth mostly sewed shut.

By the way I hope we get to see some more of the elf PCs. That female screenshot of one looked good. Maybe they will introduce a male elf in the gameplay video? 

 

I definitely plan to play a mage Qunari at some point for exactly this reason. It'll make for some really interesting conflict. Plus, on a purely shallow level, I am itching to design a tall, beautiful Qunquisitor minus the chin tats!

It's not just you, and when you phrase it that way it is different than how I was envisioning it. (: I'm so excited-curious (why is there no one word for that?) about how it will play out!

So I just had a crazy thought in regards to Solas and his chances at being a LI, and I thought I'd share because who doesn't mind a little bit of optimism? Also it's late and I'm tired and this is generally when my brain decide to fly to the moon.

So we know we have Cassandra at the start, right? She's male-only. And we know we have to get the Advisors and that they can't be sent away. Josephine is for males and females, and Cullen is female-only. Now, if you look at these three mandatory LI characters, what do you notice?
 
We're missing a male character for male Inquisitors.
 
Varric appears to be a mandatory pick-up, as does Solas. These are the two characters we have to look at here. Which one fills that slot? Solas, unless Varric was secretly bisexual all along.
 
So, from the near-beginning, we'd have Cassandra for male Quizzies, Solas for female and male Quizzies, Josephine for female and male Quizzies, and Cullen for female Quizzies. All mandatory pick-ups.

He's doing it as himself and not as Solas' VA. So you could ask him about the rest of his body of work, or stuff about acting, or whether he likes grilled cheese, etc.

The reveal of Solas' and Cole's VAs were so random. It'd be nice if there were a schedule. They're not giving no information now though, with a combat info session tomorrow, it's just not the info some of us were expecting / hoping for. @_@ Anyway, I'm sure it's forthcoming.

okay so, i know i have been kidding about solas being imshael and all, but i was thinking.  

 

so a long time ago some one pointed out (i think in this thread, but i could be wrong) that solace and viv are on the cover.  and they put together a theory that the two of them are the main characters. blah blah blah

 

then due to my insomnia last night i came up with an idea,

 

what is solas really is imshael, and viv really is a daughter of flemmeth (another theory i read on the board somewhere) then

 

and i am using another person's (thedarknight) theory for this too

There's also the possibility that (TME spoilers, and also crazy speculation)

he's Felassan's boss. Because, let's face it, most of the elves in the series go a little nuts about getting the Eluvian, so it wouldn't surprise me if F's boss is also an elf. And dreamers can kill people in the Fade, so there's that.

I don't think he's likely to be Imshael because Imshael doesn't seem too plugged in to what's going on. Felassan's like "chaos is coming, yo", and Imshael is all "oh cool, didn't know that".

However, still in crazy speculation mode, I think it's more likely that F's boss is also his boss, rather than Solas being F's boss.
