Both Maric and Katriel.  I didn't buy into their twu wuv, so I just wanted to strangle them.  Between having Maric for a dad and Fiona for a mom, I think Alistair is some kind of miracle child for NOT turning out to be a self-absorbed, narcissistic moron.

I basically skipped on The Calling and the comic storyline because I just want to punch something whenever Maric is mentioned. Didn't start reading the books again until Asunder and Masked Empire. I still need to read Last Flight.

 

Mine arrives on Tuesday. If I get it before y'all, I'll let you know.

Maric was dead on if you ask me, he's pretty much an Alistair clone in  saying that tho

I may be able to make that a reality . . . I am picturing the Canterbury Tales-esque scenario. Perhaps a pilgrimage to a bath house . . . or . . . to worship at the foot of their new god--a la a scenario like Avejajed envisioned above.

I have this whole list of what pokemon each inquisition member would have, "carefully" thought out (ie. I want them to have this because I DO WHAT I WANT!). Cassandra with Nidoqueen and Aegislah = badassery!

After the second romance scene, they are in a relationship. Whether that relationship was sexual or not is up for you to decide. Weekes deliberately wrote it so that the romance could be taken either way. 

 

He was the last romance added to the game, so he does have less content. This is part of the reason why you can't even flirt with him as a non-female elf. There just wasn't enough time and/or budget to put those scenes in the game. However, considering what we got, I am more than pleased with the outcome. 

 

Thank the elvhen glitter gods they didn't have time to plan his romance from the beginning. Look what's it's done to us in it's current "tacked on" state. Can you imagine the puddle of sobs we'd all be if they'd fleshed it out more?

I like that so much is left up to the imagination. There are spots that feel bare, and I wish more of their relationship had been less obtuse, but at the same time, there's so much left for the creators in their relationship that is maybe laid too explicitly out for the others. Do I wish there was more? Of course, and we getter get that DLC, or I will stand outside Bioware's offices for an uncomfortably long time. 

 

At the same time, imagining what happened between Solas and my Inquisitor has actually inspired me to write again, after quite a number of months feeling an enormous wall of writer's block.

Also, speaking of The Stolen Throne, that Dalish clan that Maric and Loghain meet, any idea which clan it is? Is it the Sabrae clan? I remembered someone here mentioned that the Dalish man who spoke to them might be Mahariel's father. If that is true, that would make me so happy! ;___;

Start the balcony scene with my current Lavellan, and I have, "ratatat-tat, ratatat-tat...." playing over it. Even when the romantic piano music plays.

So I reload, and replay. Nup. No good.
