At the same time, imagining what happened between Solas and my Inquisitor has actually inspired me to write again, after quite a number of months feeling an enormous wall of writer's block.

 
Same.  I write fanfiction in fits and spurts, and every time a new BioWare game comes out, I get the fanfiction itch.  But it's never, ever been as bad as for Solas and Lavellan.
 

If anyone speaks Mandarin~ hardcore Solavellan feelings (also Jane Zhang just has the most beautiful voice ever)

Stuff like this makes me really regret letting my Mandarin go rusty.  My parents were the only people I'd speak it to, so I've barely had opportunity to practice it since moving out during college.  I can still understand it, but I speak like an eight year old

Gripe of the evening: I kinda hate the Skyhold drumming.

Start the balcony scene with my current Lavellan, and I have, "ratatat-tat, ratatat-tat...." playing over it. Even when the romantic piano music plays.

So I reload, and replay. Nup. No good.

 

Should be able to fix that by going to the war table and exiting normally. People seem to think fast travelling away 'fixes' sound, but it's confirmed to actually be breaking it - they made music sparse on purpose. You're only supposed to hear the drums in the war room.

Instead of starting a new thread I thought I'd put this here.

 

In the Solas romance, do people find it very lacking? It feels like quality over quantity, yet I'd like a bit more. There's barely any altered dialogue insinuating a romance or even a "kiss him" option. I didn't even know exactly what was going on between them until Solas dumps the pc. Note: There was no "start a romance with Solas" trigger. There are comments like Sera joking about him yelling "elven glory" in bed and the bartender commenting that I have time to bed my allies, but is this just speculation? Were they in an actual relationship at all? I find it curious that his tarot card doesn't change to a romance one until he dumps you.

 

With 3000+ pages this has probably been covered many times but I'm certainly not going to look through them.

 

As much as I adore Solas' romance and character I have to say yes.  I find it lacking. Like others have said, however, it's amazing we have it at all.  Most gaming companies would not have dedicated the resources needed to make a new romance entirely for female elves, but Bioware did and that's amazing.  The fact that there's this entire extra romance that has all this story significance and it's not aimed at the straight human male is so cool.

 

I find the lack of romance scenes to be a bit of a disappointment, though.  I'd have liked a 'kiss him' option or the option to relax together.  The dance at the ball was nice, but I need more.  I'd have loved the option to ask him where he saw the relationship going (like I did with Alistair) or just a bit of acknowledgment in banter that they were dating.

Hi guys! I know it doesn't fit the current glitterotica mood, but quite some pages ago we were discussing how we would have liked our Lavellan to dress for the Orlesian ball. I remembered Spanish "bata de cola" and thought its over the top look would be interesting as inspiration for a ball dress. So here it is!

Okay. A few days ago some of us were talking about Anders and it was a lovely discussion one in which I am glad stayed logical and understanding. I just thought I would post a picture that shows you guys why I love Anders.
