Fun Anecdote: I had your art pulled up on my desktop today. I'm dissertation writing and needed inspiration. My husband popped in and needed to use my computer.

Me: Art.

Husband:  Umm, ok.

Me: It's for my research. It's complicated. I have a complicated relationship with my research.

Husband: (knows to just let it happen) 

 

He has NO idea about just how deep those complicated feelings run.

It's true. Ask anyone. I look upon all with disdainful haughtiness. (Revas, my Lavellan had just gotten dumped on her ass, so that's the reason for the chill. But she's normally much nicer than I am).

Yeah probably.  It's still, in my opinion, a less than desirable way to "end" a character.  In the case of Will Turner, he was in love.  So he'd get to see her what, 5 more times?  Maybe 6?  Before she dies of old age - unless she died of something else in the mean time.  And then he gets to spend the rest of eternity alone.  That's way more tragic than just killing a character off.  And I do prefer my happy, rainbows and unicorns endings.  =p
