Well, I also have a confession to make, and I hope people will forgive me for it but:

I cannot for the life of me like Solas with hair. Not one bit. He feels too fabulous with hair, it doesn't suit him, I think.

Which is funny because I can't see Abelas looking anything else than the way Liz draws him, with that awesome braided white hair, but Solas, everytime I see people drawing him with hair, or when I saw concept arts in the artbook, I just couldn't get into it.

It's okay. :) There are people who prefer bald Solas. I personally enjoy looking at the concept art and fanarts of him with hair because I find it interesting (and hot).

But in the actual game itself, I definitely like bald Solas. He's not conventionally handsome but yet at the same time, he is? :P And I do get a bit irritated when I see people complain about how they wished Bioware used ConceptArt!Solas instead.  -_-

I was all like "Heyyyyyy"

and he's like "Oh you're unlike any lady I've ever met. I really like you a lot. "

"I just met you like 30 minutes ago."

Blackwall seems like the type of person that falls in love with you after a 30 seconds conversation in which you just basically said in a very even and non-flirty voice that you liked his shield.

Maybe it's been a very long time since he's been with a woman? Considering his backstory. xD

Because I do everything I can for these characters, almost to the detriment of my own health and wellbeing, and...and...and what? You're saying I'm just not good enough for them.

I don't think this is a healthy approach to take with fictional characters.

You mentioned that you didn't feel that any character in the Inquisition was a friend. Or would have been a friend if not for the anchor. People offered a return opinion. I'm not entirely sure we understand the point you are trying to make.

It's been even longer for Solas, and he doesn't fall all over himself in that first flirt  :P

Though he does have that tiny pause before he says "Thank you" where he's thinking "OH CRAP SHE'S CUTE WHAT DO I DOOOOOOO"

Nothing against weird beardy men in general.  Just a particular Pringles beard named Blackwall.

Your beard is awesome, but I'll leave the flirting with you to Cassandra.  And Siha.  I am nowhere near enough of a hardass to fully deserve your beardy glory  :D

...

Okay... I suppose I'm sufficiently buttered up. Carry on. ;)

You say that to everyone.

But don't worry, I don't hate you. I'm as indifferent to you as to 99.9% of all people. Better?

Not actually. I say "I love you" to everyone.

But, yea, that will do!

You just...implying that I'm too shitty a person for fictional people to like? Because I do everything I can for these characters, almost to the detriment of my own health and wellbeing, and...and...and what? You're saying I'm just not good enough for them.

Is...is...is that the theme they're trying to impart this time around, this game. That some people just aren't good enough to be liked by fictional characters. Yeah...yeah...yeah. I guess that's a lot like real life. People just don't like people sometimes. Even if they're nice, even if they buy them presents, even if they are trying so hard not to run away and hide. They have to act exactly the way you want or, or f*ck em right? Is that about right? Am I understanding that correctly. cause if that's the case it seems incredibly realistic given the circumstances. I come in here looking for a conversation, and all I get are insults. I'm the problem. I'm the one who's looking to talk for real people for once instead just playing some game. I'm the problem. Coming in here upset at a fictional character. I should just bite my tongue and let people trample all over me? Hide myself and my opinions because otherwise you'll hate me?
Hmm...guess it is pretty realistic.

Why do I get the feeling you are trolling a bit? I will take this as sarcasm. I really think that's a safe bet.

You get your conversation, don't you? You've been pretty much dominating this thread the last few pages and it's amusing but you don't actually contribute much, you know? People have replied to you, why ignore them? It's weird how you come here with all your rhetorical questions and your strange excitement and then don't actually follow up on the conversation you started. Please decide if you wish to discuss - then do so - or troll.

You should definitely give one the newer titles a go. X/Y is great, and Black/White is also a good starting point. The Team GenericEvil in Black/White actually introduced serious ideas about how Pokemon are treated, and how being in Pokeballs affects them. It's more complete with "new" Pokemon compared to X/Y. You'll see a lot more of the older generation Pokemon available since they didn't introduce that many new Pokemon in X/Y, so that may be more familiar/comfortable if you want to stick with old favorites.

DO EEEEEET.

I'm stalling a bit of Alpha Sapphire thanks to WoW and Dragon Age, but X/Y was fantastic.  It added so many quality-of-life things to the franchise, starting with being able to customize your trainer avatar.  It's also an extremely pretty game.  With an extremely pretty Professor

I mean, seriously, this guy wants to send you on a grand adventure.  How could you say no?

Thanks for the suggestions!  I think I'll try them, maybe I'll wait for some sales on amazon. Than...goodbye life! the old games where like a (great) drug  :P

Solas is a terrible liar as it is.  If he'd been ConceptArt!Solas, all swagger and dreads and freaking wolf skull headdress, I think the jig would've been up the first time he walked into frame.

I like that it's in response to practically promising to drown the Inquisition in blood to protect him.  It wasn't that severe and maybe I'm suffering some sort of Post-Traumatic Anders Disorder.

Ugh....i should not have watched the romance videos on youtube. im so sad today.   i was so proud of my abellan hellsprial.

Maybe Solas just knows how to play it cool.  B) On the outside anyway. Deep down inside, who knows? :P I mean, the way he kissed Lavellan in the Fade... all that pent-up passion.

And yes, that tiny pause is just so adorable. xD

True. Which is why I think it's a smart move for Bioware to go with the bald look for Solas. More unassuming and makes the stinger at the end even more shocking. :P

I didn't think my quizzy meant it as a "kill all the others for Solas" sort of thing.  Not knowing that Solas was the cause of all this trouble in the first place, she felt she owed him for saving her life.  It just came out sounding kind of awkwardly intense.  Anders, on the other hand, I could totally believe.

I can't decide whether you're being genuine, or trolling, but if you're indeed being genuine, then I think you shouldn't be that harsh with yourself. You're obviously dealing with some issues, and I understand the need, and/or emotional impact of seeing them being reciprocated in a work of art to the point it touches you and resonates with you deeply. It's good, I think, that such a game like DA:I makes you feel so much.

But nobody's the problem. Nobody ever is, and hiding isn't gonna solve anything either. Just be yourself, learn to read what we write, and get to know us, and we'll get to know you. You're not the problem, not at all, but we can't do anything, if you don't let us understand you.

If you're a troll, then, whatever, have fun, I guess.

I dunno, "whatever I have to" is a pretty generic* statement, and could include "kill all others for Solas". I don't take it that way myself, but I could see why others would.

* said vague originally, wrong word.

Also is the website running slow for anyone else?

This. I'm currently writing a younger Solas, so he has hair, but even rationalising that I just cannot quite capture the image in my mind.

Solas is bald, it makes him look monk-like, wise, spiritual, all those other connotations. And from me that is a very important part of his character.

I'm mad stylin, today.

I'm wearing my favorite Doc Martens with my custom dyed fade green pants and my tower t-shirt. All I need is some wolves somewhere and I'll be the most fashionable Solasmancer in the room....except, I'll be the only one who knows it. :P
