Too bad Skyrim gave me headaches from hell.

 

I always have that problem playing first person shooter/mouselook games.  I despise mouselook.  It takes me a few days of solid playing and headaches to get used to it.

You and I had very different experiences then.  Skyrim I could NOT finish without resorting to cheats.  The game kept crashing at various points that were significant to the plot and it wasn't any graphics setting on my part.  This was before any DLC.  I had problems with the DLCs as well but that was later.  People also shouldn't have to rely on 3rd party unofficial patches to make a game playable.  Although I'm not sure if there was one that would have fixed my Skyrim issues.  Conversely I had zero problems with DAI.  The game was (and still is) amazingly stable.  I can count on one hand the number of CTDs I've had in DAI. 

 

I do agree that Bioware should go back to the days of DAO and release a dev kit.  Some of the mods were amazing.

Indeed ours were, but even so, I remember the public response to the game because I'm on their forums, granted yes that's not the perfect way to judge. But, it's as good as you'll get. Just take a look at the threads here dedicated to issues on PC. They're not pretty.

Indeed ours were, but even so, I remember the public response to the game because I'm on their forums, granted yes that's not the perfect way to judge. But, it's as good as you'll get. Just take a look at the threads here dedicated to issues on PC. They're not pretty.

 

To be honest, I avoid the Bioware forums except for this thread.  Even before DAI it was mostly full of hate for Bioware.  It got depressing.  So much focusing on the negative and little praising of the good things.  And those threads that DID try to say good things usually got jumped on by people hating on Bioware.

 

This thread makes me happy.  Even when people complain or disagree they're civil.  I think I've said that before though lol.

I still ship poor Solas, all forgotten about and exiled. I will laugh when Solas comes back all awesome as **** in DLC and Abelas turns out to be the douchy one.

 

Out of likes, but I totally agree.  As much as I adore Abelas, I'm still 100% on board the Solavellan ship until it sinks.  Right now it's just taking on water, I'm sure it won't be a problem 

 

He and my Lavellan just make such a painfully cute pair!

The funniest part of this is the idea that using *** is still censoring the word, the same as what the forum automatically does, so you're basically being punished for doing yourself what the moderators want the thread to do for you.

Take the word f*cked. The forum doesn't censor it. I have to censor it myself.. but why should I get into trouble for censoring a word the forum doesnt?

Hah!  I didn't go to any site at all to avoid spoilers before I finished the game.  Then the game ended and I was like "!?!? WTFOMG" ... then I messaged the only friend of mine who was also playing DAI and the conversation went like this:

 

Me: DID YOU FINISH THE GAME?!

Him: Nah, not yet

... *a few days pass* ...

Me:  DID YOU FINISH THE GAME?!

Him:  Oh, yeah I finished it.

Me:  SOLAS IS FEN'HAREL!!!!

Him: Yeah, I don't follow the lore, I don't know who that is.

Me:  *head explodes* ... *facepalm*

 

I'll have you know, doing a face palm after your head explodes is hard.  And messy.

That was basically me and my brother:

I've since been giving small lore primers to my friends who play. Just roughly covering some things in DA they might not have picked up on, such as the orlesians and the backstory of the elvhen gods. Also the events of Legacy DLC.

I got warned for cursing, but it was someone else who got it for bypassing the profanity filter. Colonel got it for being Colonel. Someone really doesn't like it when you astrick your own curse words. Lol.

Haha! That sounds a bit frustrating. xD

 

When my sister and I ended the game, our minds were blown. Her husband has yet to end the game (he's focusing on other games at the moment) but he knows from our reactions and excitement that something big happened at the end. 

 

The problem is, I'm not sure how familiar he is with Dalish lore so maybe the stinger might not have such a big impact on him.

Fixed the Charging Bull ability so that AI-controlled characters no longer overshoot their target.

 

 

So Cass and Bull will no longer run halfway across the map after that attack?

 

Improved archer AI so that they choose to enter melee combat less often.

 

 

And suddenly bow rogues developed a sense of self-preservation?

 

Fixed the save game card image for elf mages.

 

 

Always wondered why my male mage Lavellan didn't have that card.

Fenris actually says the Tevene word, "Fenhedis", but I get it confused with "Fenedhis" all the time too.  I've wondered if Fenhedis might be derived from Fenedhis, the ancient Tevinters took a lot of culture from the ancient elves, some words might have gotten in there too.  Fenhedis and Fenedhis are both curse words, and they're awfully alike.
