I feel you on this. I try to convince myself it's for the best, however: at least nobody has context enough to understand how far gone I am.

 

It pains me to no end, and I can't seem to help but talk about it anyway, so my family and friends are all fairly aware of how far gone I am. Rather, they're aware of a fraction of how far gone I am, and seem to think that's horrible enough. If they stumbled across my posts here, plus my fan art and porny fan fiction (plus bucket-loads of notes on more of these things I'd like to do), I have no idea how they'd react. Probably with great disappointment.

Yay, another crazy cat lady!  I really did name my cat Ser Pounce-a-lot.  I stole him from Anders  Anders can have another cat if he ever figures his s*** out and learns niceness before frigging EXPLOSIONS

I wish I could bond like this over video games with my sister, but I don't think she's played a single one in her life. It blows my mind. But I feel like if I could just get her over the mental block of "video games are for kids", she'd probably really enjoy something like Inquisition.

 

Someone give me pro tips for convincing my entire social circle to play Inquisition so I can have people offline to chat about this stuff to as well. I have like, two friends who've played it, and I no longer live in the same city as them. Boo, hiss. This is part of why I'm forcing my husband to play it. Like, I've literally negotiated a weekly Dragon Age gaming requirement.

Has your sister seen rated R games? Look for cinematic games, I do watch no-commentary playthroughs just to watch the story. Like I watch Assassin's Creed and walking dead of telltale games.
