Yeah, Broad City can quite the funny show, even if at times it can irk me a lot as well.
lol it's my type of humor mostly because it can sadly reminds me of me and my friends a lot of the time.

New sexy unicorns? Hmmmmmm... That sounds promising
I suppose it makes sense now why Solas and Cole were given to Weekes. If this was something that was in discussion for a while, then you'd probably want to have the same writer on characters that we'll likely see again in the franchise.
I think what's encouraging is that he is moving on to something new - something yet to be announced. It's not a demotion, but a lateral translation onto a new project. HOPEFULLY a new IP - which Bioware desperately needs.
This, so much. It'd be delightful if a new IP came of this, especially with such a talented and experienced person at the helm.
That said, ten years, guys. Ten years. There have been ups and downs, but Mr. Gaider shaped so much of what draws us to and fascinates us about these games. He wrote so many great characters, lovable love interests, so much wonderful dialogue and biting snark.
But nobody could take the reins half as well as Patrick Weekes. He's the perfect successor. It's an occasion happy and sad and exciting.

Good point.
I'll always appreciate Gaider for giving us Cole.
He's my baby!

I didn't want to actually say it, but this change in Lead Writer may have a silver lining for Solas's character... maybe?
Yay
I'm happy to hear he will keep working on the project
Though I am sad about David Gaider.
Anyway..
Found this.. not sure if it has already been posted xD
Wow! That is shocking about Gaider. Though the little snide part of me wonders if we'll see much of Morrigan, now that he's gone. (Chill, guys. I like her. I'd just like to see OTHER characters for once.)
PW, you carry our hopes and dreams now. Try not to crush us in feelz. My bf wonders if he'll have a dry shirt ever again.
@Rabbitonfire: I'm sooo not done with theorycraft. Nope.

*ahem* on topic? Solas is hawt. Like dang. Dat booty.
.
Or Lavellan's downfall. x)
Well, that too...
@Electricfish did a masterful job creating a Glitterotica pantheon thread for us. From there, we aim for world domination.
Aaaaww, how come I was not invited ![]()
.
We should spam Weekes with our glitterotica hard, so he'd be like "Gah, okay, fine, have it your way, you weirdos"
Or he will just make them chavs to spite you

Hmmm so many feels... need to write... something.... anything.
Girl. Your art is on the first page. You are invited.
Whoops, my bad. I definitely need my daily caffeine injection.

I'm in denial

Oh Weekes.
New sexy unicorns? Sir, It's your fault I can't get a boyfriend in real life XD
Oh! I lurk away for a few minutes and this happens! I think this could be great, Having Gaider working on a new project is at Bioware is exciting news, and having Weekes at the helm of Dragon Age is equally awesome...
Anyway, I'd felt compelled to slink off and doodle something in support of Solas and Unicorns (bit of fun) because I just don't dig dem thighs...
NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I LOVE PW AND HIS WRITING...I MEAN SOLAS AND ALL THAT, BUT I CAN'T HANDLE MORE PAIN!

David Gaider just announced he is leaving Dragon Age, and Patrick Weekes will be the lead writer once he's gone.
WHAT?!?! whoa...didn't expected this...not even...well. I loved Gaider's characters. I didn't like DA2, beside Fenris's romance, so I have to say thank you the same. I've appreciated his books too. Is a pity, but I have the feeling with Weekes the DA serie will be in good hands (our lavellan feelings not so much...
) and I'm really curious about his new project! ![]()
That's how I feel. Solas was my first playthrough's romance- unspoiled about the truth so it was a bit of a shock. Trying other romances at least gives me an option of a less depressing outcome for some of my Inquisitors.
I'm still hoping for a happish ending...
can't help, I have a soft spot for fluffy endings after a sad and difficult journey...

Spoiler
Abelas fell off into my bed.
Woah, that's unexpected. I'm not worried, as Weekes is an awesome writer. But still surprised.
I really, really hope people did not break Gaider down and influence said decision.
I really think Gaider is tougher than that... Nope Gaider's a pioneer, he started this thing, drove the wagon up the mountain, glimpsed the promised land and said "Yep, that'll do!" So after ten years he going to do the same thing all over again...
And Weekes wrote Solas and Masked Empire so... It's all good here.
