You want something sadder. I have a DARK headcanon. SPOILERED FOR SADS - seriously it's not happy

So I actually don't know how to rectify a non-mage(or even mage) would be powerful enough to take down Solas - because I think we may have to end up fighting him.  So I headcanon Lavellan learns how to go into the fade all the time and then learns how to manipulate it - since you can pretty much do anything if you have enough will.  So at the final standoff with Solas she ends up doing this and they end up fighting in the Fade. It's crazy and hectic. As a way to distract him though, she wills a copy of herself into existence essentially has it get killed by Solas. Solas is heartbroken.  Collapsing on his knees, horrified at what he's done.  When he's distracted Lavellan kills him.  He dies thinking he killed you.

I do want to be clear that I dont like hate Solas or something though. Honestly that guy is rad and smooth and if my Lavellan can do him forever I will absolutely take that option but man...if not...go big or go home imo

He could feel the sexual tension between them as that ancient elf's hammer swung down and the way her eyes moved up his bulging muscles and back down to his tight glutes. He could not live another moment with this tension in the air, and so he would tell her just how fucked up her face truly was. It seemed that Lavellan was all about dat ass and thighs; which Solas greatly disapproved of...like minus 100.

I don't think he'll do that. But it will be amusing if he ends up having to come back and ask for help from the Inquisition. He doesn't exactly have a lot of people that would be willing to hear him out. 

 

I don't think he'd come back for the Inquisition - I doubt his plans would need a lot of political capital to come to fruition - but he may come back for the Inquisitor because he needs their magic-glowy-hand magic.

Well, this is a SOLAS thread so we should always try to keep conversations about Solas

 

Does anyone here also really want to read a book about young Solas getting his rebellion on?  I think that would be a fantastic story, especially from the Weekes.  And concerning he is now the Lead Writer, perhaps he will be able to give Solas a slightly happier ending if we romanced him? :3

Apparently Gaider helped Weekes in writing Solas. I'm hoping that he helped him write all the sad parts and now we will have a lot more of riding off into the uncharted west on unicorns since Gaider won't be involved in DA.

 

It'll probably be a mixture of both, but a girl can dream right?

That's what I'm hoping too!  Weekes might be persuaded to allow Solas and Lavellan a happy ending (well, as happy as a god loving a mortal can be!).  I mean, I'd like it if the Supreme Happy Elfy Ending was achievable through completion of certain quests/actions/etc. kind of like how in FFX-2 you had to do a new game plus and complete over 100% to get the happy ending for Yuna and Tidus.

David Gaider just announced he is leaving Dragon Age, and Patrick Weekes will be the lead writer once he's gone.

 

Oh wow! I didn't expect THAT to happen. I'm sad but at the same time happy for him. (At least he's not leaving Bioware. xD) Looking forward to the new project he's working on. And I'm glad Patrick Weekes is his successor. He's an amazing writer and I love the characters he's written. I think Dragon Age will be in good hands with him.

 

PW is my favourite writer, so I'm happy he's now in this position. But I'll miss Gaider...
