Actually, I did tell you that the thread was being made and the announcement was an invitation. I apologize if it didn't come across as an invitation. Here, I'll quote it for you:

Stevhen the Elvhen who would like to inform you that there is now an OFFICIAL Glitterotica Elvhen Pantheon thread?

I want you there. I love you. And you should know that Ave.

I'm glad the Stevhen's company is prospering. I hope he gets a promotion. Hopefully more than a few dollars.

Nobody asked them to make another thread. In fact, I fought to keep them here so it wouldn't kill this thread. But they left and didn't bother inviting all of us, so it is what it is. Its too bad too because I would have liked to participate in the current conversation, but they never had those kinds of conversations here.

But who needs an invite? Just pop in and post… It's a forum not a private party.

Always reminding them of how glad you are their interests are separated now doesn't particularly help either.

I don't understand what you mean. O.o

Shame Ryan Gosling wouldnt work. Or Christian Bale (he is even Welsh). Or Alexander Skarsgaard. because. yum. The have slim faces but something always doesn´t fit.

Christian Bale, yum indeed. I don't know how egghead would look on him, though.

The thread is so fast I can't answer properly XDD

Thank you all for encourageing me to do more animations...

But for now I have made something, because of the EGG-HUNT ... eeerrrmm I mean

Wolf-Hunt DLC

If it isn't too sensitive, can you tell me what happened with the Miranda thread and the character forum? I wasn't on BSN at the time.

I wasn't apart of the Miranda thread, I mostly just hung around Garrus thread and the main forum boards. Someone who was on the ground can explain things better than I, but I'll give it a go:

So...this is totally random and out of context, but I promised I'd post any theories or interesting codexes to both threads.

http://dragonage.wik...try:_On_Skyhold

The original keep, as studied by the writer of the first entry in the Divine Age (post-Adraste, post-First Blight) was not only elven, but built in multiple elven styles throughout the centuries using materials from all over Elvhenan. Skyhold is also extremely isolated, which fits with the idea that the ancient elves used no roads, traveling mostly by way of eluvian. There was probably an eluvian in Tarasyl'an Tel'as during the time of Arlathan, which may or may not still be there (besides Morrigan's eluvian, that is).

Also, that writer in the Divine Age? He tried to rebuild the elven keep (the present keep is built in the Alamarri style) and was struck by lightning and killed. Like whoa. O.O That's not weird at aaaallllll. Did he just screw up construction? Did he need additional pylons???

According to Solas (who wrote the 4th entry) Skyhold attracts spirits to reenact the battles that took place. Clearly, something went down here.

I remember the $70,000 charity. People were so emotional at the time that they didn't even read that it was for a charity, not literally retaking ME like a DLC fund.

I hope they learned something for shutting down an entire character thread and I could only imagine the rage between all regulars. Where did they go after it was shut down?

The eluvian is a really good point, and [somewhat] solves one of my complaints about Skyhold. It is a bit bizarrely isolated. It doesn't quite answer why anyone would build on top of it, but I'll roll with it.

Judging by the underground waterfall area where Dagna is, I get the feeling there might be a lot of underground caves and things beneath Skyhold. Its possible if there's an eluvian, it would be underground somewhere.

Maybe people were drawn to Skyhold.  Doesn't Morrigan say something about how people have always tried to take the place, but meet terrible ends?  Maybe something in the place calls to them, but rejects them?

(I guess it helps that Inky was shown the way by the proper owner of the place...)

Yeah, there were people who tried to get their money back once they realized we weren't 'buying' a new ending.

As far as I know, some groups still exist offsite. Tali has a site of her own that still hosts a chat. Not sure about the Miranda folks. Take back ME3 tried to reorganize itself into some sort of gamer integrity group before the dawn of gamergate, but has since collapsed in on itself.

It's still a pain in the ass for the modern Inquisition.  Now I'm imagining them going Roman legion style and giving all the Inquisition soldiers a crash course on how to build the roads, bridges, and other infrastructure they'll need just to connect the HQ to the rest of the world.  It looks cool with the mountain backdrop and everything, but I can just imagine my Adaar glaring at Solas and saying, "Seriously?  At least take us to a place with some frigging ROADS."

I get the impression that Skyhold is built on sort of a froth of stone.  Layers and layers of ruins, catacombs...the Inquisition doesn't even use all of Skyhold in-game (the cobwebby gallery and library in the basement come to mind).  Just imagine the irony if Solas did partially leave to protect the Inquisitor...and there's an active eluvian beneath Skyhold just waiting for horrible things to come pouring through.

Solas: Did...I leave the eluvian on before I left? No, no. I definitely turned it off.

[Meanwhile, at Skyhold.]

I seem to remember several mentions that the Undercroft was built for a specific purpose that no one could figure. That basically it's this huge space that seems like it should be there for something since it sort of undermines the general structure of the building. Who knows if that was always around or a later addition though.

Wonder if the guy that got electrocuted got too close to something big? If Skyhold is holding the sky back, maybe building the spires in the original elvhen style messed with that in some way and temporarily weakened the Veil (or whatever exists there). Too much power with no where to go and bzzt....

If there were an eluvian under Skyhold I doubt Solas would just leave it and hope everything was OK. Unless he put up wards. Or unless the writers needed him to be ignorant I guess xD

Also, while I was looking for other actors who might look like Solas, I stumbled upon James Mcavoy...
What do you guys think? Perhaps a younger Solas?

He even has the freckles huehuehe.

Just woke up and saw this. I didn't even realize how much I want this... James McAvoy as Solas? Yes please! <3

There might even be a deep roads connection. I'm reminded by the poem of Tyrdda Bright-Axe that she and her tribe fled into the Frostbacks and met up with some dwarves. The forges are also extremely weird, according to Harrit and Dagna. Perhaps the present day keep was built by her?

I'd say.. no. That would place the construction of Modern Skyhold at almost a couple thousand years before the fall of Arlathan to Tevinter. I'm not against her having been there for sure, but not responsible for the present day keep.

In my opinion, it's better this way.

I have nothing against the Glitterotica :D or the awesome art that was posted about it for the matter <3
However when you wake up in the morning and realize that overnight there have been 40 pages constant talk about it, then it does mean that it's a topic that is asking for its own space. After all it's a Solas thread, and some people only come here to talk about him, not about Falon'Din or Elgar'nan or any other, no matter how they could be somewhat related.

It's safer they go their own way before the mods get angry >.<

We can just go over that thread now to check what they are talking about (at least we know that's one thread safe adventuring in and leaving the blanket fort for :D). You don't really need an invitation, at least not a real one... if you need a "metaphorical" invitation, that I do not know..but I kinda doubt it. I go there and check, and that's enough. (I barely have anything to contribute, but that's a different thing xD)

And if they don't come back here then that's a bit sad, no one should feel scared to post here. Unless they don't want to do that if they've found a new place to stay :) which is their decision so..nothing we can change.

Just my 2 cents :)

Buuut, back to Solas :D

Omg!

Haha thank you~! I'll be making more this week and restocking my store on Monday more than likely.

Solas wolf necklaces are awesome, how are they made?

Spoiler

I hand sculpted the master in polymer clay, then I made a mold in silicone that I've been using to cast the replicas in resin.

The codex says some random Ferelden built the most recent version but... it doesn't really seem like something that could be built by a single person does it? And then, why? Why build a giant fort in the middle of some mountains if those mountains aren't a major military pass (they don't seem to be) or otherwise important to the crown (no evidence for that either).

I imagine Skyhold's isolation works well for the Inquisition though. It'd be pretty hard to march an army to conquer the keep. I haven't really figured out how they manage to feed themselves since the area around Skyhold doesn't exactly seem to be cultivatable but they also don't have latrines so magic I guess.

Beach would have been great, but maybe Solas was worried about his bald head getting sunburned?

Anyone remember a post somewhere on tumblr that was made pre-release where a couple of people theorized about Solas being Fen'Harel? Am I remembering that right? I wanted to read it and have no idea where to start looking.

It's sold out, you should make more. Then when a dlc with solas appears, have a bunch in stock instead of playing. Play later. Then buy yourself a nice dinner for a job well done.
