Um... this should probably be a time to point out I don't know what kinkmeme is and I thought I was gonna see a fic about a spirit inhabiting Skyhold... I suppose the "kink" part in kinkmeme should have given something away. ;_; I'm dumb.

Okay! Now that I officially beat the game last night (technically this morning), and I was dying the whole game cause I really wanted to romance Solas... NOW I CAN!!!!!!!!! Only thing is that I feel obligated to beat DAO (lost all my old save files) and DA2 (haven't actually played it) so I can have a custom world in DAI. So I'll have to wait for a bit. Small part of me wishes I'd known what the custom world thing was before I started. Elf would have probably fit a tad more my first play through with the default history vs my human history I will be using (I demand to be married to Alistair. I refuse to see him with Anora.. hate that chick )

You don't need the save files for the Keep Custom World, you can just go to the Keep and enter the details of your choices, that's how it works
I hope you remember them ^^ You can check the wiki in case you don't.

And then you can immediately start the Solavellan Hellspiral relationship playthrough
Also, I made the same mistake of not setting the world state for my first PT because I had avoided all spoilers about DAI so I didn't know they made a Keep for your choices. Shaking my head..

All jokes aside. What is new in the world of Solas...heard there was DLC discussed. Also he hasn't left me in the Fire Swamp in this playthrough yet. So I've got that going for me at least.

Don't get my brain a-buzzing on Kal-Sharok. Really want to explore that place (both in-game, and in lore). I have spent a few days, over the past few years, getting completely lost in thought, over Kal Sharok. That WT mission regarding Kal-Sharok had me foaming for more. I am still fairly convinced that the dwarves of Kal-Sharok are bordering on another race, from the dwarves of Orzammar and the surface. Whether due to their exposure to the blight, thousands of years ago (and them not reacting exactly the same as those that come in contact with it now), or because they had always been somewhat different, and ages of isolation, invasion of things yet unheard of by those on the surface, further changed them.

And I've spend my entire childhood and teenage years attending elementary school, middle school and high school in Versailles.

Lots of feels, friends and memories tied to this city And I'm not even talking about the castle and all things related to royal stuff, ugh!

It's a long time I haven't been there, though. I miss it, sometimes.

I read this some time ago, and it has stuck with me. Thank you for posting this, since I had forgotten where I had read it. Still find it weirdly awesome that they were rediscovered only fairly recently (as you point out the date you listed).

This is exactly why I spent 2 weeks of free time going through EVERY. SINGLE. CODEX. and taking copious notes on each. 

It's not enough to vaguely remember hearing something. I want to be able to cite my sources for theorycrafting. Also, rereading each codex carefully let me catch some details I missed while reading in-game. 

So...if you have any other lore tidbits you'd like to discuss, I'm always happy to hunt down those codexes for you.

Do you have World of Thedas?  There's Kal Sharok stuff in there (I know the codex entry from DAI first came from there, but I think there's some other stuff too.  Don't have my copy handy to check, though.)

 

Kal Sharok and Serault are two of the places I must see in Thedas.

What the heck...I leave for a week or so and this thread got weird, got split and there seems to be negativity on both sides? Y-yay Solas thread? I'm not going to even attempt to understand what this thread became over the last while. 

 

It was cool to come back to the Gaider announcement, though! I'm sad he's leaving Dragon Age but I'm excited to see how Weekes does as lead writer and I'm super excited for whatever new project Gaider is working on! I need another BioWare series to get obsessed with.

Something sweet and Solavellan. My Lavellan Has white hair, palest skin, white eye lashes, ice purple eyes and purple Mythal tats. But any Lavellan is okay. I'm also okay with Abelas/Lavellan. I know this is a lot to ask, I'd appreciate anything at all really. Except bathroom stuff or beastialty.

Well, the Elven Pantheon thread got made mostly as appeasement. The Solas thread has now gotten two mod interventions in the past couple weeks, and we'd rather not get anything shut down or put on the radar in the future.

So a new thread was made. It's hosting all the glitterotica stuff we've done so far, and it will be there so as not to cause too much trouble for people here. The more crazy stuff will be posted there to keep it contained.
