I am totally on board for freckles. I wonder if they extend to his shoulders and back too? Because if they do, he is getting all the Lavellan love nibbles.
Or a light peppering over his forearms and the backs of his hands. Like, in the hotter days of summer, maybe he ditches his sweater for a looser fitting tunic with elbow-length sleeves, and because of his nomadic lifestyle, he gets a lot of sun, so. Arm freckles. I love it when freckles intensify during the summer.

So I was forcing my man to play Inquisition last night, and he got the fade scene with Solas, and after Solas told him to wake up, he made this strangled, violated noise and whispered, "What did you do to me?"
It killed me.
Also, I was reading something on my phone and hear him say "I like him like this", and look up to see him speaking to Solas in the rotunda, camera positioned in such a way as to make it appear sir elf's head is on fire.

Even with the Fade tongue, I am super creeped out by the fact that Solas puts you instantly to sleep and carries you to your bed (one assumes) without so much as a by-your-leave and then wakes you up and never refers to it again. My first character was a dwarf and she ran her happy hiney down to the rotunda for an explanation. He just glances over coolly. "Inquisitor?" Like he hadn't just done something completely impossible. Smug, sexy bastard.
Also, while I was looking for other actors who might look like Solas, I stumbled upon James Mcavoy...
What do you guys think? Perhaps a younger Solas?

Also, that writer in the Divine Age? He tried to rebuild the elven keep (the present keep is built in the Alamarri style) and was struck by lightning and killed. Like whoa. O.O That's not weird at aaaallllll. Did he just screw up construction? Did he need additional pylons???
Dang, I totally missed the first part of that codex! Someone trying to rebuild Skyhold was killed by lightning? That's a heck of a defense system. It kinda reminds me of the place in the Emprise with the ancient elven laser fire magic that went wonky.
The other thing that struck me about the codex was this line: "The Veil is old here."
For some reason I'd always thought of the Veil going up everywhere at the same time. But that statement implies the Veil is older at Skyhold than other places. Does that mean it went up gradually, like a wall being built up?
I'm one of those who believes Solas does more evading than outright lying, but I don't quite buy his contribution to Skyhold's codex as all being learned from the Fade. A giant keep with (likely) powerful defense systems in the middle of freaking nowhere? But little trouble if you can travel by dragon, I'd wager. The form reserved for the elven gods and their chosen.

I distinctly remember my Inquisitor being awake, running around Skyhold for the first time, going to talk to Solas and saying, "Hey I'd like to learn more about your studies!" and Solas saying, "Sure, let's talk somewhere more interesting." ... then hey look we're in Haven.
I'm totally ashamed to admit that the first time I played that scene it completely did NOT occur to me that Haven should have been destroyed and what we were seeing wasn't real.

Actually, you find HIM in the fade. The whole conversation in the rotunda before you go to Haven? You're in the fade.

Motherfracking Dreamers. They can kill you in your dreams, they could probably achieve godlike feats of retribution in a world without a Veil.
The Veil is a ward spell that blocks off the Fade, and would prevent assassination. I could see it being set up in each gods' own sanctuary.

Yeah, it would be REALLY strange for a dwarf. I think you can handwave the explanation with "WELP, anchor."
You're what now? That's...87% less creepy. Except for dwarves, of course. Even with the two characters that didn't romance him I never got the impression that the beginning of the conversation wasn't waking world. Hell, I was running around chatting with companions and clearing inventory right before that. How did I somehow forget going to bed?!
Nah, I just don't get that whole sequence. It was jarring, regardless, particularly the creeper "wake up" thing. I adore Solas, I do, but that scene bugs me.
Hmm. Inquisitor, no matter what race or gender, feels an inexplicable pull towards Solas, hence seeking him out in dream. It might be the mark OR... it might be secret, hidden lust *_*

Same here. I felt really silly after playing through that sequence the second time. Also, I forgot that the Breach was sealed before we reached Skyhold. That also should have been a dead giveaway. ^__^;

I think the implication is that it's some time during the night and you find him in the fade while you're both dreaming. Though I do like the idea of Solas putting you in some kind of sleeper hold and carrying you off, hahaha. Like that comic with the Adaar Inquisitor where he smashes a bottle over her head which I'm too lazy to find and post. And doesn't he say "sleep well?" when you greet him in the rotunda afterwards? He did both times I've done it, and during my husband's pt.
Also, am I the only one who thinks the way he says "sleep well" is super sexually charged? Maybe it's just smug, and I'm interpreting it through my Everything-Solas-does-is-hot glasses.
