It's a romance game for a game jam. Game jams are pretty cool because you have to make a game within 36 hours.

Somehow I feel like dating a dinosaur would hurt less than dating Solas.

There's a good ending. I liked it alot.

I haven't played the Mass Effect games yet! *shame* Well, I started playing ME3, but sort of forgot about it after a while. But I hear that about Garrus. I'll give it another shot. Is it dumb to start with ME3, though? Or would I be better off going back?
Also: Solas' hands are nice.
Edit: Added spoiler tags for size.

ME1's story is good, but the gameplay and graphics are...a little painful nowadays, even with the remastered version. If you can't handle ME1's clunky gameplay, I'd say start with ME2.

Sable is right about controls and graphics, but I would still start with ME1. It took me a few days of will to get into it but then I was all tangled up in it. The story impressed me, it was well made for a game. And the series is just so strong overall if you play all three games. I'd grown very attached to ME. A bit like Solas' head to your whale. Or your husband to the notion of a killing spree.

I recommend starting from ME1 so you get a feel for the setting and the backstory of your companions, but I agree with Sable, the gameplay and graphics are kind of 'blah' compared to the later games. If you're gonna start with ME2, try downloading Mass Effect: Genesis, the interactive backstory comic.

You've probably already seen this codex before, but I like to cover my bases:
http://dragonage.wik...:_The_Rebel_God
While we don't know exactly how pre-Exalted March elves saw Fen'Harel (personally, I think all the wolf statues/wolf companions make it seem that he was at least tolerated) this codex tells us that harellan didn't change from "noble rebel" to "traitor" until the Towers Age.
That timeframe is particularly significant, because it's directly after the Exalted March of the Dales, when the Dalish as we know them were undergoing their diaspora.
Who can say if the Dalish lore was deliberately doctored or just scrambled in all the chaos? But something happened to change public opinion about him.
Personally, I do think it was doctored. The Dalish would have been terrified and angry, and could have blamed the loss of their gods for the fall of the Dales. Fen'Harel must have seemed like the start of all their troubles.
I wouldn't say directly after, the Dales fell almost 100 years before the Towers Age. I could see their opinion of Fen'Harel lessening after their troubles (although it should also be pointed out that the Dalish still revere and respect him, the clans carry a Fen'Harel statue for a reason), but I doubt there was some conspiracy where they doctored their history purposely. They aren't that organized, for one thing. It was more likely another result of losing even more of their knowledge following the Exalted March of the Dales. That it was nearly or at least a century afterwards that the word meaning began to change suggests it was the result of time and loss taking a greater toll on their culture.

I don't think he would kneecap Solas. He'd just be like, "Dude, your ex is a PC. You're so f***ed unless you go crawling back making nice right now. My girlfriend destroys f*** ups like you on the way to real problems."

I kind of need a fanfic of Garrus giving Solas relationship advice now...
Her and me both. Pretty damn exactly like that.

True. I would like to See him try to get away. Lavellan has strong thighs from riding horses. Nuff said.I think he might not have been able to leave again if he had returned.
(because my Lavellan would have tied him to the bed and banged him five ways from Sunday)

Maker! What was that about the one-eyed man in the land of the blind...

What timing this thread has. I just bought the ME Trilogy on Amazon and will start playing as soon as it arrives in the mail. I've heard the RPG style is "dated" and the combat clunky, but I've also heard it has a great story and characters. The latter completely outweighs the former as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe I'm late to the party, but why are there tons of pictures of Solas' head turning into a velociraptor's?

Eta: .. Maybe ill switch to the drakolisk...i bet you need more strength staying in that thing. Toning thighs ftw.
Eta2: maybe THAT is abelas' secret?!
Oh, my Lavellan definitely has a dracolisk as her preferred mount. She likes 'em dangerous.
And she probably has Chun-Li like thighs by the end of the game. Watch out Solas!
Huh... Well that's a bummer. Looks like I've been issued a warning for posting that NSFW artwork. (This thread is definitely being watched...)
I guess that's that then... *sigh*
