Is that the allience mission chain where the Inquisition getting involved resulted in a couple being split up for a political marriage? Because Cullen has the best ending for that one.

I don't think that's true at all. However, people aren't necessarily going to like the "screw that guy" attitude or "this guy is so much better so let's talk about him a ton" attitude. Because, you know, this is the Solas thread and all. It ain't just the big words at the top of each page. I don't pine for Solas romantically and I think I've said before that I find his romance with Lavellan to not even be close to being the most compelling thing about him. That's because I care about Solas much more than the hordes of angry Lavellans he's left behind (and the one sad but coping Lavellan of mine).

To be honest, the one day half of the regulars weren't around kind of prove that solas thread would be boring. I don't want to end up being all serious like the cassandra thread. But the dangers of moderators watching is an obstacle. I much prefer self-regulation. we did fine.
When they write the true crime memoirs based on my husband's downfall, they will call it SOLAS' FLAMING DOOM: One mild-mannered programmer's descent into madness.
And done. I will get these damn games and do my best to play them, because until DLC comes out, it seems I've hit a bit of a wall with Inquisition.
I do not remember after what game I played ME. Maybe Deus Ex: HR or something. Anyway, it was directly after a game I had loved to death. When I started playing ME1 I just thought, "Are you ****** kidding me?!" I really disliked it, it felt so clunky. But TPS are hard to come by after a while (I play... a lot), so I forced myself to see it through. I gave up after a few hours and did not feel like playing anymore (and that's really rare for me). Next day was also meh. After that... let's say when I had finished it I replayed immediately. And I had not done that ever before. I was so excited about the story I even told my colleagues about it (i.e., I basically talked to the walls).
Your husband could also use his madness to write some nice little Solas punching game. I bet there's money in that. Money which you could use to buy Solas DLC and merchandise -- win-win.

No, no, the two examples are true, but people go through different grievings and some times leave the romance entirely but still appreciate the characters. look at colernal killabee, he didn't romance solas, but liked him platonically. Nobody is maliciously insulting anyone's husbando.

I'm in two minds about it for now.
On the one hand I like it for the same reason as you said, and the idea that Mythal may have been cheating on Eglarlglefarth (I can't remember the name) with Solas is pretty juicy, but on the other I just think... how is my poor girl going to stand a chance against someone who's as old as Solas is and who'll understand him infinitely more than she ever could?

As for your question.. don't think of it like that. If Solas and Flemythal were involved in the past, imo it doesn't look to be setting up to be some kind of love triangle or competition between Flemythal and Lavellan. A few things to consider in this regard:
1. Flemythal and Solas' hypothetical romantic connection is almost certainly just a thing of the distant past
2. Flemythal may be dead
3. The depth of Solas' feelings for Lavellan are abundantly clear
4. Lavellan is a powerful deity-like being to some people in Thedas in her own right; in addition to this Solas kind of makes a big deal about how she isn't your average mortal in terms of intelligence, conduct, etc. So I don't think there's much measuring up that would be needed to be done.

As a note of more seriousness-
I think the problem is that each side is getting a lot of resentment towards the other. I don't think its fair to say that without the joke comments Solas thread is boring. But nor do I think that the thread should be forced to experience some sort of exodus.
The people who think you can only enjoy Solas by pining are a small minority. This was never an angst circlejerk. Likewise, the people who make jokes about Solas are not coming here on a regular basis just to character bash. If anyone really hated Solas they would have wandered off to another board by now.
It would be nice if each side didn't assume the other made up the majority of us. These are a very small percentage of either side. Passive aggression goes nowhere and just exacerbates the issue.
I hope Solas doesn't spawn. I don't want him ruined by the idea of him covered in baby vomit.
I think my Keep is really buggy... I have only two inquisitors to choose from, even though I made several. My male elf doesn't show up, just my first two female elves. I Have completed the game with one character so far, but when I select it, everything but one tile is hidden because supposedly I haven't made these choices yet. O_o

Is there something I have to do to sync it with the game other than logging into Origin when I start the game?

There's some things in this world I can't not do, for example I can't hear someone say "I've got a theory," without replying with "that it's a demon". (It happens surprisingly a lot!).
