Maybe we should cool it both on the hellspirals (although they are fun) and the joking!Solas-hate?  There's a lot of injokes around here and that could make it pretty inimidating for new people to start posting, or for people who are fans of Solas and come into a converstation that is 'we hate this guy, the other one is better'

 

(which is clearly false.  Abelas is waaaaaaaaaaay down the list of good elves.  Best Elf, Best Wolf and Garahel are at the top.)

 

Perhaps the reasons these jokes are posted here is so that they can be shared? They hardly ever come without explanation...and there usually is no elaborate meaning behind them either...just making fun of Solas...

 

Also Fenris = best elf, there is no wolf, and no idea who Garahel is.

This brings me hope. It's so difficult for me to get into anything else at all when I've been really on board something for such a long stretch. Inquisition has dominated my brain for so long. I could do with a change, if only for the health of my poor little mind.

 

And YES. I like the way you think. I bet he'd totally be on board with that. Will report back.

 

I find it very hard to get off a BW game. Especially this time was difficult. Ended up back with a Hitman for a short affair (I love Hitman to death).

But ME should be a very good way to immerse in a new, exciting universe with great characters, a good story and a new love interest that will make your husband consider divorce. However, it will leave you in the same state, probably.

 

Once you fell for Garrus your husband can extend that punching game to Garrus and Solas beating each other senselessly. Though since a Turian always has a backup weapon at hand Solas might run into problems... I am very excited to see what your husband can come up with. If you nurture his madness a bit it will be epic.

I'm not saying people don't have a right to be angry at Solas but constantly coming in here to do that and gushing over someone else for 20 pages long is getting annoying.

Yeah, Nikki, just because you were enamored with Falon's glorious, gilded Din, doesn't mean everyone else is on board. I mean the Pantheon has nothing to do with Solas! The thread never gets off-topic.

Helping people and Judgments aside I don't think she made many decisions Solas would agree with but she always did them for a reason or as a preventative measure against a future possibility which is something I think Solas would understand even if he didn't really like the choice she made.

sorry i didn't know this forum wasn't a public place on the internet...like i said. No one here hates Solas. That was the point I was making. I never once said anything bashing Solas' character outside of the jokes I have posted here. And sorrynotsorry I brought Falon'Din into the picture? He is part of the elven pantheon that Solas happens to be a part of. Also it gave me a reason to start arting again.

This thread seems to be seeing threats from hypothetical Solas ex-girlfriends from all corners this evening Relax folks lol

 

To be honest, if I think about it I can't really imagine Solas having had any serious relationships in that way. I imagine him along the lines of casual flings and maybe one confused occasion with a Spirit (nothing sexual, although I think he may have started thinking/feeling that way until things got a little demony, and I only think that purely because of his dialogue with Blackwall). He's not inexperienced, there's no way Fade-tongue would happen without some, but definitely not along the lines of what's been mentioned, even by myself.

 

In regards to animal totem, my girl doesn't identify with one. Maybe a bird of some kind at the most, but that's it. x)

I associate birds of prey with one of Thedas' other heroes (my Hawke - surprise surprise given her name). I'm a weirdo that likes different motifs for each one so the Inquisitor couldn't be a bird!

Aye, that's why I think flings for when he was younger. No one was up to his standards, but, hell, a guy needs to get off every once in a while, right? I don't know, just bouncing ideas about. x) (And yes sort of hoping for the latter too because I'm a shameless perv.)
