I'm sure I'll regret posting this and I vowed to never get into internet drama again, but for the sake of the good moments I had reading this thread I will add my two cents.
It's very good and nice to tell people to scroll down and ignore what they don't like, and respect that other people might like it, as long as you practice it too. I supported Liz when she got the warning and said that whomever did it please send a PM next time they were bothered about content on the thread. I had discussions with people that had a completely different opinions, always on respectful terms, and that's what I loved about this thread. I didn't like when there was very convoluted theorizing and just scrolled past it. I got tired when the glitterotica thing started to stretch out pages and pages, and just scrolled past it. Just as I was glad that they created a specific thread for lore, where I thought the crazy theories would go, I was glad that a thread was created to contain all the crazy elven pantheon stuff. I expressed so in a very respectful manner, emphasizing that I still thought people who went there were amazing in spite of posting some things that weren't my cup of tea. And the responses I got where far from respectful.
What I mean, there is a vibe of "we are the victims of censorship and intolerance", but some people have started to have a not very constructive attitude towards people not liking their jokes and content. Respect should be a two-way lane. And if we keep on with the passive-agressive "suck it if you don't like this" messages, the ambient on the thread will keep on being rare and we'll keep on being watched.
I still don't agree with the lurker reporting and think it's better to PM or make a suggestion to tone down the gifs and off-topic jokes a bit if someone is getting specially bothered by it or thinks we can get undesired mod attention. But as it is, it's clear we already got that attention, deserved or not. And it's better if we don't give the mods any further motives for watching us (meaning if they feel there is a confrontational atmosphere, that will probably will keep us on their radar)
So I'd suggest we all chill down, let the drama pass, and keep on having amazing discussions and amazing art. I understand that people who got warnings are very uneasy, but I think it's better if we try to put that behind and move on.

Which is more important to your Lavellan - Solas, or elves as a whole?
No right or wrong answer, just interested in everyones' characterizations.
It depends on the context.
In terms of a loss of life, elves are far more important to my Lavellan. Not only elves, but other races too. The only time where she would choose Solas over any amount of lives is if we are talking about a no win scenario. I'm not a big fan of the 'passengers on a train' situation where you can either save X amount of people or someone you care for. In that situation she would simply go for the one she felt she had the highest chance of success with. It wouldn't matter who was on the other end.
In terms of culture, at this point she would likely choose Solas over a normal life back in her clan. But they are probably the better for it, as my Lavellan would have always been trouble for them.

Neither really. She's passionate about helping her race's situation, but on the whole she's more in line with Bull's idea in regards to individual people, rather than race. If she saves the elves, it'll be for the few she thinks are worth saving; her brother, her friends, the strong elves she comes across. During her time with the Inquisition she's all too aware there's arseholes on all sides, and she doesn't want to throw blame around anymore.
But if it came to a choice between Solas and the elves... I don't know, I don't think she knows yet either.

I took the question as a more 'forced to choose between', though I'd like to point out that I doubt my Inquisitors would return to the Dalish, even if their whole families weren't dead and stuff. Solas at least has her questioning, though I'd like to hope they're both smart enough to not take everything that comes from his mouth as the gospel truth. Hopefully.

to be totally honest, solas. didn't see much of the city elves.i am so onboard with reviving whatever eldritch (glittery) horrors solas locked away in his last frantic frenzy of poor life choices.
i left briala in charge, she can do all the hard work fighting oppression, i have horrible apocalyptic arcane mistakes to make.

Off-topic/unrelated to reply: I'm trying to draw a f!Adaar but it's just coming out as a cross between a muscular Draenai and a Desire demon. ;_; Halp.
And I have another question.
We know Solas's drive is to save the elves.
Let's assume hypothetically that the specifics of this do NOT involve unlocking the mirror and waking/unleashing the banished slumbering elven gods.
If not this, what do you think it could be? I'm interested in alternative ideas.

Depends on what degree we're taking "important". If given the choice between helping Solas or helping the elves, she'd help Solas. She's closer to him at the moment, especially since her cultural identity has been shaken by all the DAI revelations (my canon Lavellan, at least). But she's not going to say, commit genocide for Solas, and if it were an "all the elves die or Solas dies" situation she'd choose the elves.
I mean...she's not a monster.
Everyone is in depth and I'm just like, "not Solas." 
But yes, it depends on the context. I took it as "who would she save if she had to choose." If it wasn't life or death, it would still depend on context, but Solas wouldn't be as easily pushed aside.

Just my thoughts on this last one. I chuckled. But, its also a bit passive aggressive. It has nothing to do with Solas- and everything to do about making a comment about certain people's feelings. I get why people might feel justified in making it. But I also get why that sort of attitude might rankle people.
I don't think it should be banned or anything. But this is the sort of thing that is perpetuating the drama. Things will continue to be awful if both sides keep poking each other with sticks.
