Ok, now I need to save my likes so I don't run out before Solas' definite possible reveal tomorrow   So, I know it's VERY possible we won't see him tomorrow, but there's still a chance we could know more of Solas in less than 24 hours   As excited as I am this interminable waiting has helped me develop a lot of patience so even if someone else is shown tomorrow or no one at all I'll survive.  I think.

 

Well, I'm thinking it'll happen sometime between now and Wednesday, so...the excruciating wait is almost over regardless. And then...THEN we can freak out and run amok!

 

 

Totally excited about the amok part.  Gonna be an awesome week!

It will be less than 3 months until the games release on 7/7/2014 which is technically 8 days from now, that's not that long, especially when you think about when information came out in jan to june, we're over the worst of the waitingXD (or worse, last year when we had few companions if any revealed) But i suppose the closer it gets the more awful it isXD I know it was that way with Mass effect 3 for meXD

 

True, the magazine showed his picture for the first time... March 21st?  Whoa, that was 100 days ago and the game comes out 100 days from now.  Weird

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but does anyone know what the deal was with one of the E3 trailers? The one with femQuisitor speaking and introducing BlackWall, IB, Sera, and Vivienne.  During Sera's bit, she was walking through a field and knelt down to observe the dead body of a male bald elf that looked *a lot* like Solas.  Did anyone else notice that? What was up with that?

Wow, that's pretty funny actuallyXD I also think that the more time bioware spends on stuff the better it will be, but that also means since they've stated that the keep is coming out before the game, we can be occupied for some time before the game actually comes out. I know i'll probably be making all of the choices in the keep that I was unable to make (I'm the type that can't screw over other characters or romance various characters) so it's going to be fun to work with.

 

He looks a lot like solas but there are key differences, while he has the deep set structure, he doesn't have the cleft chin. It's just a bald elf, there seems to be a lot of them, just look throughout the blooming rose, there's more bald elves in there than I care to countXD

I just find it odd that they would do that unless they wanted us to jump to the conclusion that it is Solas.

 

I mean, he's the only bald elf we've seen so far in regards to this game.  This scene plus the demo where Sera seemingly dies... it's just strange that they would show those types of scenes.

I could be mistaken, but I'm fairly certain someone asked about that and it was clarified that it was not Solas. Besides why would a follower be shown dead in the trailers? And I believe a point was also made that the male elves we've seen so far have all been bald, which led to us speculating (as it's all we can do) that, perhaps, either something has made them all bald, or their hair isn't/wasn't finished.

Yeah I definitely thought it was Solas too. So even if it's not, they had to know that many people would THINK it was him, especially with such a brief glance.

We've talked about it in here...we think it's just a bald elf. The face is different, and the elf on the ground is dressed like the smugglers from DA2. Bald elves are apparently a thing in Thedas. Who knew?

Ugh, the Keep! *makes grabby hands* I don't think my invite is ever coming, but I WANT. I can't wait to fiddle with it!

@Sandal You can find the discussion on page 32 on this thread. I was actually the one asking this myself, but it makes sense that it wasn't Solas given the appearance of the elf.

I just find it weird that they would add him, knowing that people would think it might be Solas.  But yeah, he isn't wearing his trademark clothing.

Just a warning though, if you become a Solas fan you will find yourself thinking that you will not have enough likes. It's a curse

I think it started when someone tweeted a dev and asked if all the male elves would be bald, and the dev replied something along the lines of "You'll see." But I am fairly sure we've only seen two bald elves.

 

I suppose Solas could be last because they're giving him that ponytail thing. The hair has been improving lately. Varric's and Sera's specifically.
