I just realized that I haven't touched DAI in like 3 months.

 

When were all your last playthroughs? Anyone playing through right now? Are you romancing the one true LI?

 

I'm playing, this is my third run, this one is on hard, romancing Solas again, trying to make sure I do everything this time. It's like getting it out of my system. I've gone from all consuming must play every spare second to a few times a week. It's good, but it's hard running around with a post breakup Solas in the party.

Do you guys have any good music recommendations for a Solas video?  I made a few before, and I'd like to make some more now that I'm almost done with playthrough (and have been recording every cutscene).  I remember when we used to post sad romance songs shortly after the game's release lol

I was thinking that Solas has mixed feelings at the end of Inquisition.  On the one hand, he’s so very sorry for how things turned out with Lavellan and the orb.  On the other he’s freshly juiced up with Mythal power (of some unrevealed sort) and newly striking out to right his wrongs.  After years of weakness playing the hobo apostate he’s finally able to shed the disguise and do something.

Thus I decree Dan Mei's Hurtful Sunshine to be Solas’s postgame song.  He recognizes that he hurt Lavallen badly and he wants to apologize but, by gum, he’s on his way now!  If we get to confront him at some point I head canon him expressing his deep sorrow for his actions while dancing with excitement at finally being able to act.

Once again, were I any sort of hand at making videos I can picture this as a montage of Solas and Lavellan screenies, alternating between sad Solas and happy Solas and through-cutting to frowning Lavellan.  I swear, I’m going to have to get the game on PC so I can get shots, one of these days.

Greeting Solas lovers.  I wonder if you could help me?   I am worried that my current run through is bugged.    When I have played through before, whether allying with the mages, conscripting them or conscripting the Templars, on arriving at Skyhold the first conversation I have with Solas results in us going into Fade Haven and then waking up in my quarters.   This time I have arrived at Skyhold and when I speak with Solas all I get is Corypheus.   No prompt to ask about himself or stories of the Fade.    I recruited Cole (Solas approval) but still nothing.   Went away and activated another of his artifacts (slight approval) but still nothing.   
 
I don't recall doing anything much different this run except perhaps choose dialogue options back in Haven that didn't result in approval.  Also didn't always have Solas with me in party to garner approval when helping certain people.  However, the big decisions have been pretty much the same.    So is it that my approval is still too low to activate the Fade encounter or is it bugged?   Thank you in advance for your help.

I do see that some have already answered you, but I thought I would add a bit too.

Yes, I am fairly certain it is just approval. My Human/Rogue, who romanced Cullen, got lucky with Solas, since she did a lot of those Hinterland quests (where you get small bumps of approval), while I still just had Cass, Solas and Varric. She didn't agree with him on some of the magic stuff (or should I say, she was more "wary" ). However, she went the Templar route and ended up disbanding them, so admittedly, that helped with Solas' approval. She had enough disapproval from some of the "talks", and a few of her dialogue choices, that I feel fairly certain, she would not have gotten the Haven scene as quickly as she did, if it hadn't been for those quests in the Hinterlands.

If you are hoping for a friendly relationship from him, just take him with you to Crestwood. Doing the task for the spirit in Old Crestwood, will garner you good approval, and Old Crestwood + the Cavern quest, has three artifacts alone, that you can activate. That might very well be enough, to get the Fade Haven scene.

Oh, and judgements. Just sending Morvan off to Tevinter, and Solas will be smiling at your Quizzy.
