But I imagine my Lavellan would be more akin to a fox. Another trickster, another predator. She is smaller and perhaps goes undetected by the other forest greats- but she's always watching. Woe be to those who underestimate her. 

 

My Lavellan's totem animal would be an owl. Because I totally self-insert here, while playing her, and owls are my spirit animals as well. Usually connected to wisdom, mystery, and knowledge, they are also the totem animal of deities I love and identify with the most (Athena, for example).

 

I never got an enchanted ring! I was that ******'s BFF. What the hell Viv.

 

Or where you? I sided with the mages and talked about freedom for mages, elves and all things oppressed, and she still ended up giving me that ring.

Looking at this I keep thinking of Fen'Harel as a young ragamuffin from the country who comes to the big Arlathan city and ends up being taken under Mythal's wing and thereby enters the godly family :3  I'm interested to find out more about the Elven gods and their relationships - I wonder if everyone except Mythal hated him.  Andruil probably just lusted after him, but who could blame her?  He's damn fine!

I never romanced Garrus. I would have if ME1 had let me. But since they "forced" me to commit to Kaidan, and I am loyal, I stuck with him. Anyway, do inform us of how it goes about.

 

And, yes, I am very much looking forward to that! You doing the character screens, he hitting those keys so hard coding that one hears the CLACK to to moon. I am not so sure what your husband needs for an incentive though. Maybe make a few coding jokes to get him on the right track? I dunno... like... "Honey, Solas is like an endless loop in my kernel". Or "Whenever there are no new dialogue options it feels like a blue screen in my mind". Maybe a "I set a mutex to my heart and Solas got the lock first" could do the trick, too. Best you try different approaches.

 

I will do! Too bad they don't have any swanky, graphics-updated versions of all the ME games for PS4. That'd be a metric asstonne of work, but you know. I'd buy them as a lovely bundle for a reasonable fee. :V

When were all your last playthroughs? Anyone playing through right now? Are you romancing the one true LI?

 

I'm currently stalled on all... seven (x_x) of my playthroughs. I doubt I will ever finish them all, but I can't seem to stop making new characters. The struggle is real.

 

My first and canon playthrough--Tala Lavellan, Solasmancing dual-wield rogue--I completed on normal in December, but on my hard, completionist re-play of that I've stopped right before the final battle with Coryphetits, cuz' I don't want that beautiful bastard ex-boyfriend to leave. I've finished nearly everything else that I can in the game, though. Shards, landmarks, regions, all annoying quests, war-table missions, etc. OH, except for Bottles of Thedas. Frigging Thedosian alcoholics. Just gotta work up the courage to go through with the one final pull of the band-aid. (MAKER NNNOOOO.)

 

My other PTs, in handy list form because I like being organized, are as follows:

After Corypheus, Lavellan dreams

 

The Inquisitor held back the sky and withstood the wrath of heaven, and now at night the Beyond fills with dreams that hound her sleep.

 

Here she sees a thousand crystal spires shattering as deep magicks from before the time of man stream out of the world; there the husk of a great dragon crumbles and is lost as dust to the winds. A white-gold hart with flashing hooves and a dozen proud tines streaks across the Silent Plains, a fell wolf snapping at its heels, only for it to turn and gore him. Shrouded in half-light, a cowled figure slumbers alone in a sacred grove, where in another world a fey forest lord and his mortal beloved lie entwined under the blackberry vines.

 

She dreams that she’s the Keeper’s courser, chasing He Who Hunts Alone all across the Fade before catching him by the tail and dragging from his chest a howl so bitter that even the stars flee in fear. She dreams of Pride, crowned with an animal skull and lounging balefully on a throne of elven bones. And she dreams that in an ancient nemeton she stands defiantly before a wolf-god. He bids her to lay her marked hand in his jaws - instead she derides him as harellan and tears off his ear.

 

Now a great hulking beast stalks the gloaming, fur black as pitch, myriad eyes blazing like hot coals; it lunges and takes off her hand at the wolf-joint, but even as she moves to drive her blade into its throat it claws out its own heart. At the last, all the world echoes with the clamor of its torment, and in the distance Compassion weeps.

oh my god, I can't even think how long it would take to draw the details on that wolf. Or anywhere else for the matter. Amazing!!!

Anyway.. I replayed the breakup in the hope the Solas tile would appear in the keep.. made sure my tarot update to the romanced one.. saved.

Most of my tiles weren't showing up either and I was starting to panic cuz I had already beaten the game twice so I went into the gameplay option and unchecked-rechecked the boxes for uploading data. I'm still missing a couple of things but a lot unlocked for me.

Maybe give that try if you haven't already?

I love that the youngest form of Fen'Harel in that picture looks like a wild child that might have been raised by wolves. Or maybe he just had so much magical power at a young age he ran off from home and did whatever he wanted until someone dragged him out of the woods.
