Haha, I know you were one of the regulars over there. It was my other home, too. People are way more friendly over here, though, trust me. If you can survive the romance thread, this place will seem like a BSN utopia. XD
If Solas is an LI and Varric isn't, Choosing my first playthrough will be difficult on who I want to romance. I love both Solas and Josephine.
But, I'm thinking of running a Elf Mage for Solas.
This is all bittersweet for me. Varric will always have my heart, but if anyone was to take the LI slot over him I would pick Solas. And I'm hoping he won't be race-gated because I want to romance him with a Dwarf. I always crave romances with two completely different characters. xD
Is it bad that I keep waiting for more Solassians to sign online, see this thread grew a billion pages, frantically come in to see what happened, and get to watch the freak out all over again?

Have you guys tried the VA thing? Since you guys know who is voicing him already, you aren't waiting on a confirm. Maybe try finding out if he's appearing somewhere or doing a qna someplace?

Yup, and we get to see some (slight) Blackwall and Cole action. Funnily enough, we see all followers - however briefly - in that video but Solas.

I'm hoping that means we'll see much more of Solas later. Either that, or Solas's mere existence is practically a spoiler.

I always pick characters with similar views and interests to romance. They don't need to be the same race/class, but I like to have a reason in mind for my character to be drawn to the LI. With Solas I want to do an elven archer, but he's very much about learning about the world and keeping an open mind to all things. As a Dalish elf, he's used to being around free mages and supports mage freedom. I think he'll have a lot of respect for Solas and his pursuit of knowledge.

They're not in this particular video, but we have seen them in previous demos (I should've clarified, oops).
I guess there is that one time we saw Solas running somewhere with the Inquisitor very briefly, you know that one scene that is the source of the Solas famous butt gif.

Pretty much the only time we've really seen him in motion... Hopefully that will change soon...

In other news, I was going to paint a portrait of Solas but I ran out of white, which sucks 'cause the nearest art/craft store is about 45 minutes away. Not even the Walmart has oil paints. Ugh. I hate living in the middle of nowhere.
I will must remain skeptical until it's decidedly a thing. I will not lose my sanity!
