I don't like redheads. They are basically evil.  But I don't expect all the redheads to vacate the thread just because they are creepy and make me uncomfortable.

Yeah, I think he is. His eyebrows are very light, and have hints of ginger undertones, so it wouldn't surprise me if it'd turn out he was a redhead. That's how I'll headcanon it anyway, because I tend to have a huge crush on redheads.

 

And would any of you picture the elven pantheon in Steampunk stuff? I'm currently drawing a Steampunk-ish Ghilan'nain and I think that mix of technology and Victorian awesomeness would fit them.

 

I... I can't stand anything Steampunk, to be honest. I'm quite allergic to it, even.

Cyberpunk, on the other hand, I'll be all for it, this sh*t is my jam forever.

Anyone else bought the hermit tarot Solas tshirt?

 

Received it yesterday afternoon, started wearing it immediately, slept while wearing it, and still wearing it now.

I will stop wearing it soon, though, or it will start to not smell as good as it should. But I like to think it's to get closer to the spirit of the unwashed apostate hobo that we all love.

Most of my tiles weren't showing up either and I was starting to panic cuz I had already beaten the game twice so I went into the gameplay option and unchecked-rechecked the boxes for uploading data. I'm still missing a couple of things but a lot unlocked for me.

i've sadly also discovered that I can't complete the Sutherland quest because it gets bugged if you do it after What Pride Had Wrought...  so that's another tile I won't have xD Damn xD

I wanted to limit the pokemon in the picture to two since the current plan is to do one pic for each inquisition companion/advisor and my Lavellan as well Doing a full team would be too much work.

I'm thinking he'd have psychic and dark pokemon mainly. I was tempted to give him Exeggcute...

 

Next up is probably Cassandra with Aegislash and Nidoqueen. Or Cole with Ralts and Espurr.

That was Stevhen's hope for his children. Stevhen's son rather smoke elfroot all day and wants to start a band and not goto college. Uniqua doesn't want to goto the Circle and rather sleep with everyone while enjoying life with stolen credit cards under Stevhen's name. Stevhen was conflicted on how he felt when Uniqua invited her father to her Pole dancing performance.

This one actually confused me. I completed it and they're still alive but the only tile option I get is the one where they're all dead. Yet I went to talk to him in the tavern. They've never died in any of my playthroughs.

Every year he has to go through the annual Inquisition HR benefit presentation. Every year it's boring. That would be Stevhen's presence in the game. 

 

Stevhen: Unfortunately this year the cost of health care went up so there was a 1% increase in your contribution to your insurance. If you look at page 15, you can see the changes from year on year.

Totally disagree on that last part. The Celts as well as many other ancient societies, had no written language and all their history and tales were transmitted orally. It took time and years of training so that each teller apparently repeated the story exactly the same.

it was only once they became more disparate and that great tradition was lost that tales became more fragmented and altered.

In fact, one anthropologist (can't remember his name, it'll come to me later...) claims that in some small tribes, stories that they tell, that they themselves don't even understand as they are soooooo ancient. But they re-tell them exactly the same way to maintain that link and knowledge.

I've seen theories that the reason we see repetition so often in the Bible and many other religious texts is that, originally, they came from oral tradition, and repetition is good at instilling that memorization. At several different times, Hebrew scholars, and later Christian, held conclaves to discuss what should go in the 'official' books, as it were, and they weeded out the ones that had been changed from the new canon. (There were some hilariously out-there, fan-fiction style 'Christian' cults that the Council of Nicaea ruled should only be mentioned for the purpose of trash-talking.)

What's remarkable is that, yeah, oral tradition seemed to hold pretty steady.

Until, say, an empire with a remarkably pragmatic approach to things realizes they can scatter your culture and religion by slaughtering your druids.

That, and disease and sudden death of all kinds, is the weakness in oral tradition.

I legitimately mourn all of the stories lost because of tribes being wiped out, in all periods of history. It upsets me.
