I actually would love long hair on CC, and I don't think it'd be unpractical. What would be, on the other hand, unpractical, is for Bioware to actually put time into meshing them, texturing them, and animate them while avoiding all clipping as much as possible.

I think the lack of good long hair in DA:I comes mostly from a technical standpoint. And the lack of good medium/short hair comes from the fact they're Bioware and suck at one thing and one thing only, and that's doing hair.

 

And like I said, long hair CAN be badass as well. A warrior doesn't have to have medium or short hair because "more practical". After all, the Inquisitor is ALSO a diplomatic and political force, and as such, can care about their hair and overall appearance as such position would require them to.

 

Viking's Lagertha hairstyles are awesome, and she's a badass warrior.

I dare anyone to say that she doesn't look rad AND that it doesn't look practical/realistic.

Hair color and style is all about personal preference.  But... personally I prefer reading fanfics where the writer does NOT elaborate on what Lavellan looks like OR what her class is.  That allows you the ability to self-insert your own Lavellan and enjoy the fic more :3  I also don't care for it when they use a first name for her in fanfic.  I immediately go looking for something else the moment I read that lol~!

 

Speaking of hairstyles, I tried to give my Lavellan the ponytail hair I use for her in game:

I think they were getting the hang of hair, DA2 has some that are almost good but the engine switch put BW right back to square one. KOTOR 1 has better hair than DAI.

Whenever I play a rogue, I always pick a short hair, pony tail or braid option. I does make more sense to me, she's jumping around and swinging her daggers or using her bow, long loose hair would get in the way.

 

But when I'm a mage, I like long hair...which I know is silly since she could catch her hair on fire or something.  *shrugs*

Any hairstyle that's obscures vision or would fall into someone's eyes if it was real bugs me more than hair length. Short with a long fringe is just as impractical as long flowing hair in combat.

Me too. I would absolutely love seeing full-body vallaslin in-game. I'm also endlessly amused by the idea of this coming up during the very poignant scene where Solas removes Lavellan's face tats.

 

Lavellan: Then cast your spell. Take the vallaslin away.

Mage is also my favorite, but I love playing Knight Enchanter.    Unless I'm very overleveled, I actually can't solo a dragon, even with KE.  If the rest of the team goes down, my KE will follow soon after, especially if the dragon has babies.  (LOL, my male Lavellan's romance with Bull actually came about from all the prep I had to do trying to take down a particular dragon, and going about building and outfitting Bull for the occasion.)  And speaking of British male voiced Lavellan and romance... The way his voice gets all husky during some romance lines...hng.

My Nightmare Mage is KE too, only because I never use Viv (I never even bring her along for her quests), I can't solo a dragon either. x(

 

Also, is it just me or was the first dragon in Hinterlands the hardest? Aside from the one in the cave in Emprise du Lion, I've never struggled with the other dragons. Even on Nightmare. >_< I'm just gonna put it down to the fact that I don't have King Cole the Dragon Slayer for the first dragon but I do for the rest and he kicks all the ass.

IIRC he even calls Wisdom "vhenan", or at least he uses the word even though the subtitles translation doesn't mention "heart" at all. Whatever confused experiences he may had in the past (Blackwall banter), the Solas we know now has learned to love and cherish his spirit friends without corrupting their nature.

 

Sorry to bring up old news but I just replayed this quest twice, once with an elf and once with a human (to be sure) and at no point does Solas say "vhenan" during that quest. He calls her/it/Wisdom "Lethallin".
