That reminds me...Is it just me or is Solas' lips really pigmented? For being so pale, they are very pink...like someone nibbled on them...heh.

Sorry to bring up old news but I just replayed this quest twice, once with an elf and once with a human (to be sure) and at no point does Solas say "vhenan" during that quest. He calls her/it/Wisdom "Lethallin".

No worries, I get confused by stuff like that all the time. It's why I took video of all the elvhen spoken in the game.

Also, in many cultures there exist warriors with long hair, be it a significance of prowess or nobility. Anyway, I don't invalid your wish to have short hair, I'm just telling you that being badass, being a warrior and having long hair is in no way incompatible, and should never be.
My Nightmare Mage is KE too, only because I never use Viv (I never even bring her along for her quests), I can't solo a dragon either. x(
Also, is it just me or was the first dragon in Hinterlands the hardest? Aside from the one in the cave in Emprise du Lion, I've never struggled with the other dragons. Even on Nightmare. >_< I'm just gonna put it down to the fact that I don't have King Cole the Dragon Slayer for the first dragon but I do for the rest and he kicks all the ass.
The Hinterlands dragon is both the first dragon in most cases and she has a bunch of babies, so I figure that's why it feels tough. The dragon that gives me the most trouble is one of the Emprise dragons; I've wiped so many times. I also don't spec my KEs with the spirit tree, so my mages aren't so much of a perpetual barrier machine as some can be. If Solas or whoever else is doing support mage duty goes down, my KE will be in real trouble. And that's more likely to happen if the rest of the team is also down.

Me too. I would absolutely love seeing full-body vallaslin in-game. I'm also endlessly amused by the idea of this coming up during the very poignant scene where Solas removes Lavellan's face tats.

Mage is also my favorite, but I love playing Knight Enchanter.
Unless I'm very overleveled, I actually can't solo a dragon, even with KE. If the rest of the team goes down, my KE will follow soon after, especially if the dragon has babies. (LOL, my male Lavellan's romance with Bull actually came about from all the prep I had to do trying to take down a particular dragon, and going about building and outfitting Bull for the occasion.) And speaking of British male voiced Lavellan and romance... The way his voice gets all husky during some romance lines...hng.
The fun part about KE is that you absolutley destroy barrier and guard in a single hit, or maybe two, and dragons have the bad habit to build up guard just when they are about to die. Then they kill you. kdjfbaskjf
Arghhh, I should really play as a male and romance Dorian. I don't want to go through all the game again though, I'll have to wait some time before starting a new playthrough.

My Qunari and male Lavellan are KE. love that specialization. Expecially because I'm a terrible player... and I'm better with melee style of fighting. I think I'll go for one of the others two for the Cullen/Lavellan one. But I'm already a little sad... (hug both Zula and Amrod. you are my awesome mages-warriors.)

I won't go into the whole realistic accuracy of a TV show since it'll take us way off-topic, plus I don't know that show so I couldn't say one way or the other, I'll just have to take your word for it. ^^
I can agree that having long hair doesn't mean you can't be a badass warrior but... All I can do is bring up what I've said before about Ashley in ME: She had long hair in ME1 and 2, wrapped up in a bun and I was fine with it. In ME3 they let her wear it loose, and I stopped taking her seriously as a tank. This woman is supposed to be on the frontlines. Nope. Not on my watch girly, I'll take Vega instead.

Haha, I always default to range classes if I think I'll be terrible. xD I'll just stand over here and drop my arrows or forget my spells while all you serious fighters can get up close and personal with the baddies.
I have this "long blond hair" clichè that really irk me a little. Mostly because when I was a child, my grandma always enphatised it when reading me fairy tails, or always expressing how good looking are blonde hair, and many of the older Disney princesses always had blond hair, and I am dark haired, tomboysh, with never hair longher than chin lenght. so I felt excluded a little.
I guess I'm feeling a little repulsive of the clichè because "the long haired blond girl" clicè was almost everywhere. From Super Mario, Disney's princess, and so on.
Long-haired blonde, here! I think it's maybe worth mentioning that these clichés upset me as a blonde as well. Growing up, I was really confused by the characterization of damsels in distress in various media, though at that time couldn't put my finger on why. Generalization of anything based on something as arbitrary as hair colour is kinda silly. And shouldn't overshadow how we assess an individual's character, in my opinion.
On topic: Solas would totally agree. ("JUST BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE HAIR DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T HAVE A SOUL". Oh wait, that's supposed to be red heads. But maybe he's technically one of those, too.)

I legit don't care what color or length a Lavellan's hair is. As someone with hair down to my elbows, I actually find long hair is FAR easier to style, keep out of my face, and all around deal with than short hair ever was. Serious business time? French braid it. Katniss is doing it right.

Nonono, **** I'm awful at explaining myself today, I think it's more the bimbo effect that puts me off. It's not just that she's got yellow blonde hair, but big eyelashes (so distracting in a notnice way when her eyes reflected off her helmet in the Gamecube game), big chest. Maybe I should be of the attitude that she looks like that and is still a badass, but I just don't. It doesn't effect me with other characters like Zelda in Legend of Zelda (or Link for that matter since he's blonde in a lot of games), but for her it does.
I've nothing against actual blondes myself, I used to be blonde myself before nature made it a weird ashy brown for reasons beyond me. ;_; Please don't hate my Rogue I love you.

My Lavellan would jump at having long, beautiful hair. I only have it short because...that's basically my only option at the moment. But she's completely vain. Being impractical is like her MO.
I imagine she'd have hair like this, if allowed to her own devices.
I play on normal and two rift mages just didn't work for me gameplay wise. KE's grown on me as a spec, I don't have to care about barrier and Fade Step is just fun. If I get bored of spamming Spirit Blade I switch back to ranged spellcasting.
The blatant sexism in ME3 really spoils the game, and the series for me. Turns out killing Ashley on Virmire was a kindness.
