I should have inherited my cousin Sega Megadrive as my first console...sadly, it died before I could have it, and instead a year or so later my parents buyed me my first PlayStation.
The NES was actually my cousin's! I remember being pretty jealous, but then my parents surprised me and my brother with a SNES when they came out, and I played the hell out of Super Mario World and all was well with the world.

On topic: do you guys think Solas would have been a complete shite as a child? I kind of think he would have. Maybe more withdrawn than some shitey kids you see these days, like kind of involved in his own little world, but very independent and stubborn. We don't see enough Elven kiddos in Dragon Age. How does the Solas romance compare to Cullen's. I am starting a new game as an Elf, and will be romancing him. BTW, I enjoyed the romance with Cullen, and I know there is no happy ever after with Solas.
I was in a similar boat, and I preferred Solas myself. It just felt a lot more emotional, like it had a lot more depth to it, than Cullen's did. Although to be fair, going in I was already a huge Solas fan from my first Cullen-mancing playthrough, and I might just be a sucker for tragedy or something. XD
Cullen is still great, but Solas. 
... So since I'm here, can I just say that this is my favorite thread on BSN? I never post here and pretty much just haunt it to a ridiculous extent, but it's hilarious fun regardless. Have all my likes! Everyone and everything. Cause here is typically where I spend 'em. :B

(well I fell for Solas first like I did for Fenris before I romanced Anders)
Although I can't stand tragedies I still have high hopes for a happy ending for Solas and Lavellan.

And I missed the hair talk earlier, but I just wanted to say that I also sometimes get tired whenever fanfics describe Lavellan as having long blond hair. I don't think I've ever come across any Solavellan fics that had a Lavellan with short hair. 
As for my own PCs I usually pick whatever hairstyle I feel suits her face, whether long or short, but for my DA PCs, I RP a bit and think of the practically of having certain hairstyles. My Lavellan is an archer rogue and dons a pixie cut since it's easier for her to manage while hunting or in battle. Plus, she's a bit of a tomboy. My Mahariel is a warrior and has long blond hair which she ties up in a ponytail (Also, I don't usually make blond PCs but for her case, the blond hair suits her most).
And there was more things I wanted to say but I got distracted.... I've got some artworks I've found that I'm gonna share in a bit. I know that some of you want to see some NSFW art and there is a (very) NSFW Solavellan artwork I found but should I just share it as a link? Or not? I'm conflicted.

I want to see dark haired Lavellans. Or short haired (and maybe buzz cut?) Lavellans. Or heck, warrior Lavellans! I don't play a warrior Lavellan but I get excited when I see someone has a warrior Lavellan because I hardly ever see them. xD
