WoT says halla are larger and faster than deer. So I think they're supposed to be bigger than they're generally portrayed in DA:I.

From what I recall, weren't the Harts supposed to be Halla mounts instead? I think they changed it to be Harts part of the way through development. That would have been great. Halla are supposed to be dangerous if you treat them like a horse, like, they will legit gore you and feast on your bones if you're a jerk to them.
Ok, maybe not that last part, but they're not the sheepy things represented in DAO/DAI. They really should be bigger to represent their role as mounts and (willing) beasts of burden to pull Aravels.
I thought that was the dracolisk or the nugalope. I dunno. All the mounts seem hella crazy in this game. They all honk and bleat and apparently feast on human flesh. No wonder Solas hates riding on them. He gets it.

Then again so were the aravels.

jesus christ, the train tracks aren't broken. I could have easily have done that. what the cautious bridge represents is the danger of pursuing Solas and disrupting his duty as fen harel.
And do you even watch game of thrones?

Solas seems interested in sharing the truth. What gift could he give that would show how much Lavellan means to him, after all? The truth. But when she asks for the truth, he shuts her down. "The answer would only lead to more questions." Truth, my lily-white backside. He spends most of his time hiding the truth until he wants to gift Lavellan a truth about her face that he'd have to be an idiot not to know would be hurtful.
I'm angry with Solas. And I'm grateful for the dramatic entertainment. It's been fun to exercise anger with a game character. Beats unleashing on real people ![]()

Then again, I've been sneezing my face off all morning, which has my brain a tinge scrambled... more-so than usual, anyway. ![]()

I'm happy to headcanon that. It makes sense. Or maybe wild halla are sufficiently different from domesticated ones in their physiology, since they were never bred to pull aravels or bear riders. That might be giving DA:I too much credit on the biology front though.

Why do I have the horrible feeling that he and the bog unicorn would actually get along?
Solas: You like old, dead, creepy things?
Bog unicorn: *snort*
Solas: OMG ME TOO. Let's be grumpy together!
Bog unicorn: *nuzzle*

The face thing was a cover up for the real truth he wanted to tell her, which was, well, the real truth about everything. I guess I can't fault him for chickens******* out of it, though. He kind of had to stay around to the end of the story and not everyone would have been all, "LOL 'K Fenny." ![]()

To be fair, the vallaslin reveal wasn't really a thought out plan on his part. He decided to tell you that in an "oh sh*t" moment. ![]()
Besides, my Lavellan is certainly glad he told her the truth, painful or not. Ignorance is not bliss.

Same. Mine is kind of a weirdo who values knowledge regardless who says it, or what their motive is; she even thinks what Corypheus says is worth considering, though she takes it with a grain of salt. I'm still waiting for that to bite her in the ass.

Both of these viewpoints make absolute sense. Both are reasonable. The ugly truth I want from Solas is something like "Vhenan, you know the elven artifact I mentioned that almost killed you with the other thousands, caused that mark on your hand and the breach you had to seal? The one I've been looking for? Well..."
It stands to perfect reason that the beans couldn't be spilled because as Uirebhiril said, he had to stick around for the rest of the game and his deception by omission was a bit heavier than Blackrain. Perhaps that truth might be coming and the beans have yet to be spilled. I hope so. Until then, I can blame Solas for chicken&#*%ing out of telling the important truth and side-tracking to....your face.
All in all, Solas is a wonderfully written character in my opinion, and I enjoy him, even when mad at him.
