Same here.  the "starting later" of the Garrus (and Tali) romance made the relationship much more natural. As if it build slowly.

I would love something similar again. (maybe with Varric? Can my cute dwarfettes dream, right?). But as you point out, in the DA serie will probably never happen, even if I would love to play again with my Inquisitors. I like change protagonist, but this time it felt as if the Inquistor was taken away from us just when we had became to love her. Sigh. 

 

I'd love to see that in DA, too! I let my Shep romance Kaidan in my first ME playthrough, but when Garrus became an option I choose not to get with anyone in ME1 and wait for my sexy bird-dinosaur. Best friends who fall in love are my thing

 Garrus would probably treat my Lavellan like little sister material. Her strengths aren't things that are readily apparent to someone like him. My Shep and Solas have a lot of the same mental problems, so they'd get along spectacularly and be horrible for each other.

 

Aww. I'd like to think Garrus definitely has that sort of brother mentality because of his sister. 

 

My Lavellan would definitely encourage more hot-headed tendencies in Garrus. Solas is a good match for her because he doesn't really get riled. Her personality can't overwhelm his, so it calms her down a bit. Garrus and her would probably go full renegade and make a lot of foolish choices without someone to go: "Uh, hey. Calm the hell down you two." 

 

My Shepard is much more of the diplomatic paragon. Maybe a little depressed now and then, but she had a fairly good head on her shoulders. She generally got along with everyone, so I'm sure she would get along fine with Solas. But her love for Garrus was something fierce.

Seriously though, think about what they could open up to each other about. They both experienced the fall of Arlathan, the loss of friends, family, connection. They both awoke to a world crumbling around them, to veritable jungles threatening to strangle the truth and their souls whole.

And now that Solas has Mythal's power, maybe Abelas has to serve him now!? UGH. Imagine the fun the dom!Solas community is going to have with that. Solas/ Abelas OTP. No more women for these two men. How could they ever settle for a mortal incapable of understanding what they've lost?

I think his(Abelas') feelings about vallaslin may be as complicated as how my Lavellan feels about them(she kept them).  He seems very proud of what he is and he took his duty very seriously. Even though it's over, I don't think he could just remove them.  He also probably does not have the same opinion on them as Solas does - not that either would be invalid...just different. 

 

BW I demand a philosophical discussion on my vallaslin with these two. I need to work out my feelings.

I'm guessing Abelas would not want to remove his vallaslin. He strikes me as someone who would have willingly joined as a priest, or was given to Mythal and raised through the ranks because of his devotion and loyalty. As far as he's aware, she's dead and he's still guarding what little is left of her. That's not a loyalty that is going to be shaken easily.

tryng it with a mage Lavellan, I'm actually having more fun at making Sera hate her than romancing him...uhm, I may have a problem...

byt the way, I'm piking/letting Solas pick all the the more "elfy" interaction around. What can I really do make Sera pissed at my Lavellan? (beside stating Mythal existence, but I'm still going to side with mages at this point, so is still early for that). Is my severe and intransigent run, so I can be pretty cruel too, as long as it make sense.
