Patrick Weekes tweeted this without context. I think it could be applied to Solas and Arlathan

The elvish phrase lathbora viran has a similar meaning.  It roughly translates to "the path to a place of lost love", and represents a longing for a thing one can never really know.  It was in Last Flight, and it was related to modern elves' feelings about Arlathan.

Because I'm bored at work, here are some a lot of lovely artworks by grotesqueerie.

<snip>

I wanna know where you work that you can peruse the interwebs for nsfw art. I want that job.

Just a small graphic design studio. ^_^ The boss only drops by occasionally so if we're bored or if it's a slow work day, we get to surf the net or watch YouTube videos. xD

Neat! What sorts of things does the company normally design for? And are they hiring for a designated class clown? I can make witty one-liners and bake delicious treats to earn my keep. Ma lath cakes, yes?

By the way, did anyone notice the picture of the male Elf Lavellan for the Keep is a bald elf ? Or an elf with little hair.

Are male elves following the foosteps of Fen'Harel and are going bald ?

It's the Anchor's doing. Solas recognized the signs of incoming hair loss before the balcony conversation. :)

The usual -- posters, flyers, logo design (I hate doing logo design though), page layouts, etc. Sometimes we do comic page colorings. :)

Hehe! We'd love to have a class clown but I don't know if you'd be willing to travel to the other side of the globe just for that. xD

Maybe I have simple tastes but I much prefer the unusual conversations.

Same. The inactivity over the night pretty much shows there's not a lot that hasn't been said. I make no apologies for whatever silly crap I decide to talk about, lol.

Dragon Age's lore is just not deep enough to keep talking about without more info given to us. The developers need to write more stuff, like Michael Kirkbride in the Elder Scrolls.

This is true. I sure hope World of Thedas Vol. 2 gives is a little more lore to sink our teeth into if not some DLC.

Kossith and Executors, I say.

When does that come out again?

And yes, I do too. Even if admittedly, half of the metaphysical talk in TES lore is pretentious and convoluted for the sake of being convoluted, lol, it's still hella interesting and gives one plenty to dive into. Dragon age needs more legends, stories. Need to expand on the avvar too. Their issue is they tend to expand on a few things at a time instead of extending that reach in all directions. There's plenty of potential, especially in the dwarven side, and especially since they all seem tied in one way or another. Which was the best thing lorewise about inquisition to me. It made that very clear with the astrariums.

But they're taking too long a time to give us too little information.

I know what you mean. I was so bored that I photoshopped a bunch of stuff, I even make weird sh*t of Stevhen.

While I do wish they'd expand more on the lore, since I get the feeling it's very well-developed and it's just being parceled out slowly...

I have a new appreciation for DA's abundance of lore thanks to Dark Souls:lol: My friend that I put on all the worst paths in Origins is getting his revenge by explaining why killing that one boss was a terrible thing, but the lore-nerds there have had to build with less than breadcrumbs.

And if I want to talk about cheese, goddammit I will.

I have my fingers crossed for some info there. The Kossith at least, I mean come on!

I stopped playing Dark Souls after I died six times in the prologue.

Dark Souls is one of those games that has trouble making you care about the lore in the first place. But then, I've heard people say the same about the Elderscrolls, so. I think Oblivion and Morrowind did a better job at that. Skyrim, you could pretty much run through the main mission, not read a single book and get the gist more or less.

It's wonderful, isn't it?

And the game itself hasn't made much of an effort to make me care about the lore so far. But then I saw one of the fan-lore videos, and they said things that made sense, and added a lot of depth. *shrug* I enjoy the non-crazy-pants TES lore parts myself. :)

Heh. That silly Vivec.

Do people (okay, I'll concede some people do, obviously) really play Skyrim for the engaging storyline or is it to run around a really pretty environment for 23482039482304 hours?

Vivec... lol. Vivec and his milk finger glory. If you read about Vivec killing people with his junk and shoving his lady box over a demi god's head to smother his thunder-speak powers and you DON'T run away, you're a TES fan for life, lol.

That's what happens when you marry the god of rape, I suppose.

Exploration, lore, freedom and roleplay. That's what kept me playing years after release.

Other people, it's mods.
