Oh, that's really cute! I personally like the Mythal vallaslin the best, though I kind of wish we saw female Inquisitors rocking the Andruil look. That's what I have my current inquisitor wearing, and I really like the way it shapes the face.

I love Mythal's the most, without the chin bit. I can't change to any other one. T_T I think it's because I generally have Solas remove the valaslin, and I love how invasive the markings are and it's an amazing contrast to see her without them. My girl looked naked without them, and I think it made a bigger impact on the overall scene.

 

Is Andruil's the one that kind of looks like a crown? I think that'd be a bugger to draw. x) Mythal's is easy to get away with a bunch of wiggley scribbles.

I think all of those comments would apply for all members of the race.

Dwarves: Titans.

Qunari: Doesn't belong.

Elves: Old.

Humans: ??? (I haven't gotten any human PC's that far.)

There does seem to be something weird going on with elf blood. Used to enter the Fade physically, useful in magical rituals of all kinds...

I loved both Witcher games and enjoy Geralt and his voice-acting, English and Polish.

He reminds me a bit of John Marston. Some obvious big gulfs in personality and experience, but both are thoughtful men taken for thugs and hired killers by their employers, but they try to stay out of other people's affairs. But they're more than willing to snark off to them and debate them on their personal philosophy or politics. I'd love to see a fanfiction with Solas, Marston, and Geralt in a train compartment together. 

 

I do see your point but your comparison is only based on facts and otherwise ignores any emotional characterization. Marsten is a family man and everything he does is for love. Geralt is no such thing. I never played part 1 and I know many people consider Geralt/Triss romance. But the way I experienced it there was no feeling whatsoever. Triss was a nice body but no emotional involvement. She also did not show much affection for Geralt, it was basically only sex. My Geralt did not do a thing for her, and if it hadn't gone so strictly against my bang-anyone principle I would have ignored her in the bath. I did not push the romance moments and the game did not give me any of it's own. I know, this is subjective, but my Geralt showed no affection to anybody, neither friends nor women. While Marsten only existed for his people, he would have never gone anywhere in the first place if it weren't for them. Those two men have completely different motivations to begin with.

 

Needless to say Solas wold hate them both. And Marsten would reject Solas for his emotional detachment, while Geralt would reject him for getting involved with everything in the first place. Geralt and Marsten might get along but purely on a basis of toleration, no mutual sympathy.

Subtitles and a very quick eye, played after an English runthrough just in case I miss anything. I only know the Polish words for Poland, truth, and king.

And while Marston is a family man, Geralt's more of the Commander Shepard/Garrus Vakarian line of thinking when it comes to family. Or, perhaps Buffy Summers. 

See, the way I always played and saw it was that Triss and Geralt were very close friends that kept flirting with the idea of being lovers. Geralt is admittedly a horn-dog.

But the hanse is Geralt's family. He's spent years with Yennefer, Triss, Zoltan, Dandelion, Ciri, Regis, and the other Witchers. His death before the game was trying to stop a race riot. Yennefer sacrificed herself to save him. He routinely gets into a lot more trouble than he bargained for because he's unwilling to stand by and let his employers do something nasty. As the author put it, "He spends a lot of time angsting about how he's supposed to be this emotionless killing machine but he keeps having feelings, and that's wrong. Meanwhile, the other Witchers are perfectly fine with having emotions, and think Geralt's a drama queen." 

I honestly think the two of them would have a shared drink with each other and Harry Dresden to getting caught up in ridiculous events and being blamed for everything. 

Also, if you had pursued more of the Triss path in the first game particularly, Geralt and Triss share a very wistful moment about wanting to settle down on a farm, with Geralt suggesting he takes care of horses since he has no idea how to farm, if I recall correctly.   Similar to Marston, except Marston managed to get a few years of peace. Temeria and Nilfgaard are swifter than the Bureau, apparently. Even with a set protagonist, conversations about their characterization can get tricky in RPG's.

So, subjectively, that's my view of the characters. I guess other people could have had their Marstons leave women to die on train tracks and embrace the old robber lifestyle, but I've never tried that, so Marston remains the tragic, sympathetic figure.

I am curious what Solas would make of them both.
