As far as Hushed Whispers go, Solas seems to have the same corruption rate as your other companions. It is probably 80% a game mechanic [you need them to be able to fight with you], but it could also be that a strong amount of willpower can slow it down. Or maybe they were specifically kept in a 'prolonged' corruption process as a method of torture.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it took a long while for corruption to fully set in with the elven gods, if they were infected. One of the downsides to immortality. Not everyone is watching you closely if you start acting weird for a couple of years.
I'm not a diva. What's one step up from a diva? Like, better than a diva.
Ice queen.

Ave is a 45 year old divorced truck driver from Texas. In fact, we know each other from work. You are walking on very thin ice here, my friend.

I'm just going off my first impression of that mission. Where Solas sees you and instantly grasps the time travel situation and what you and Dorian are trying to pull off, and quickly fills you in on what happened. Whereas the second companion seems befuddled and in shock. (This is also a game mechanic, and if I had found Solas second he wouldn't have filled me in, but whatever.)
If red lyrium does affect gods as easily as it does mortals, then that's very worrisome indeed. ![]()

Well we have elvhen legends saying that Andruil was affected... And it is indeed worrying, it may have lead to widespread contagion of the pantheon... with the subsequent effects on their behaviour.

That gave me the disturbingly crystal clear image of Ave smuggling you and an ice pick in her truck to assassinate her enemies. ![]()

If you picture smuggling, secrecy, and assassinations you completely overestimate our level of subtlety. Don't think of Solas, think of Bull. No, actually, think of Oghren.

That is a very good point! Solas was my second companion member in that scenario, so I'm trying to remember if he seemed confused when in the second position. I don't think he did all the information dump.
Anyone had Solas be in the second spot and remember how he behaved?

'What, you're here? How-"
"I know this sounds crazy, but time tra-"
"Oh, time travel. I assume the plan is to head back to Alexius, take the amulet, and undo this horrible year?"
"...that was quick." *Dorian's desire for a bromance with Solas is born*
"You'd think such intelligence would keep me from making such terrible mistakes. You'd be wrong."
Basically. ![]()

Interesting thought. Unfortunately I found him first, too.
But do you really think he would react differently? After all, the first one could still be the confused one.
Blackwall: "What... is going on? Why are you here? What is this? Make it stop!"
Siha: "Calm down, beardo, we will find out. Let's go find Solas."
....
Solas: "Ah, you are here, good. This is what happened....."
Blackwall: "Yes! Now I remember!" (or just says nothing because too baffled)
Works fine.
Or maybe Solas will always be the first you find, no matter what cell you turn to? (But I don't really believe that.)

And now it's you, Ave, and the Colonel on a ship together, drunkenly singing and sassing one another while screaming your intent for vengeance into the sunset.

Nope, it's only Ave and me. But at least you get the basic idea. *thumbs up*
He can definitely be in the second spot. I was just curious to see if him having his thoughts was a definite part of the character, or if the game is just set up to have one character sane and the other confused. Although given that I don't really remember either of the party members being super confused or addled, maybe Solas does appear to have more of his thoughts than the others.

Hey! Sexy Oghren.
I shipped my Warden with Oghren. I'm not ashamed. Steve Blum cannot be denied.
(And yes, Siha, my level of adoration for Amon is of the same type as the Architect, Corypheus, Solas, Dresden, Iorveth, and Loghain love.
)
Not Colonel. Siha, me, and Killian Jones. My otl(s).
I was about to object to you missing with the Solas thread's ship, but then I Googled Killian Jones and realized he was Hook.
Objections retracted.

Solas behaves the same if found second, he just doesn't give the Inquisitor the details on the situation as the first companion will do that. His dialogue is as Caddius summarized no matter the order he is rescued.
That is very cool! I haven't played through the mission enough to even notice. So, probably a bit more resistant than average.
[Or at least familiar with it enough to stay calm.]

That's cool, I'll ship me myself and I, lol, sailing away on my shield like Ysgramor with all the elven bebs drowning themselves trying to get to me ![]()
