Like a hyperactive, under-exercised Border Collie on crack, just ripping the couch to shreds and barking in such quick succession that its basically all one high pitched shrieking sound, skittering across wooden floors and crashing into corners, just pissing everywhere and biting everything, wild eyed and frothing.

I had a very good friend who was a half German, half French actual princess studying in France. I went to visit her. It was lovely. We had... baguette... I guess? Or was it wine? Maybe chocolates... I am not so sure anymore. I actually only remember being on acid in the Fade and laughing my ass off at the shapes of shadows and clouds. I sort of liked France. Or... was it Belgium? Switzerland? It was sunny. I think.

Jesus, apparently writing Solas fan fiction is where it's at. I have 340 hits in like a day and a half off of one piece, whereas all the rest have been up for longer and don't have nearly as many. It's too bad I really, really can't think of what else to write about with him. I mean, I'm sure there's quite a lot I could cover, but for some reason he's just a big, bald blank for me right now.

Guys. I don't post in here very often (or at all for like the last 1500+ pages...go team!) but after five years of ranting incessantly about it's awesomeness I finally convinced my non-gamer friend to try Dragon Age... and she is obsessed, as I knew she would be.

 

I talked up the Solas romance a ton (I tried to give her a fair critique of each one but lets face it... I have a bias and it came through), she went for it, and she's just about to head into the Temple and is soooo excited to get another Solas scene. She's been super bummed there's so few. I'm feeling kind of (majorly) guilty about the inevitable heartbreak she's in for. 

 

 

Sorry, not sorry, right? haha I did that to a friend of mine as well and she fell pretty hard. She wasn't even mad at me. She's just spent the last few weeks writing fan fic and crying a lot. >.>

He's easier to write for when I *don't* think of him in the context of Solavellan.  If I haven't thought of that ad nauseum, someone else has.  I find it easier to write slice-of-life stuff for Solas nowadays, and since it's Solas, all of his slice-of-life winds up touching on broader things like lore, elven language, magic, etc.  The big, sweeping, dramatic scenes have already been done a bajillion times.
