Yea but he's got the best quote ever in relation to loving his wife, lol. I'd post it but mods and their sensitivity, ugh.

But it is downright romantic, I swear. Sweetest thing ever, lolol.

he never gets hungry. lots to eat....

You need better heroes, like Kieth Moon or Jon Entwistle for instance.  B)

It's too bad I'm inherently selfish and want to write about my Lavellans. But I think that's far less popular because people can't insert themselves into the fiction then, and I think self insertion is what a lot of fans crave. It's understandable, but I really just want to be like 'so let me tell you about what makes my Inquisitors so great please listen to me wait where are you going come back."

At least I'll never board the Cullen train.

I've have the same urge when I've been writing. But I've managed to control myself in keeping it nondescript when it comes to Lavellan as I type it out, but vividly imagine it being my Tala while crafting it. I mean, I know it's about my Lavellan, really. In my head, that's what it all is. But I know that it's nice for others to insert their Lavellan into fics they read--I certainly tend to do the same when reading other people's stuff. So I try to keep it open, even though it's painful and I wanna be like "and then Solas loved Tala and only Tala, and this is exactly how she looked, and she was just the best". The struggle is real.

Oh yea, a regular firecracker. You redheads are conspiring against me, I swear.

I'd like to state for the record that I am blonde. More of a strawberry blonde, but still a blonde. You may continue to call me a firecracker, however.

Lol well in reality my hero is me ;) But James Hetfield, love that guy.

And Jack Churchill, believe it or not ;)

And Arminius. On Topic: I bet Solas would like Arminius.

My husband has never again spoken of the incident that nearly sparked his nerd rage. Maybe I'll liquor him up this weekend, grab a tape recorder (no wait, that's not right. It's 2015; use my smart phone) to record his true thoughts on your comments.

Yes! Hey, why not just do that when I'm over and out of my head from popping weirdly glowing berries, humming Purple Haze while starring in full-fledged paranoia at the shadows on the wall, imagining I was an earthworm in the land of giants? He might be a lot more willing to cooperate.

Your use of "conspiracy" sounds as if we needed to go about it in secrecy and subtlety, which would mean you yourself don't even believe that we're buying that redneck hillbilly image you're trying to cultivate. Man, give yourself some credit and assume that we believe you enough to see no need to hide our insults!

No it means I just think so poorly of you lot that I think you'd actually stoop to conspiring against me with jokes on a forum, lol.

The sexual tension is palpable. Wasn't this thread about Solas? I know I said I could relate and all, but...

Jesus, apparently writing Solas fan fiction is where it's at. I have 340 hits in like a day and a half off of one piece, whereas all the rest have been up for longer and don't have nearly as many. It's too bad I really, really can't think of what else to write about with him. I mean, I'm sure there's quite a lot I could cover, but for some reason he's just a big, bald blank for me right now.

He's a big bald blank for a lot of people. But your fic was good also trash - non-canon stuff is so much more fun since you can kind do a lot more things with them and not feel bound by the official story.

It is difficult to write for obscure, non-canon ships. But we endure. And continue writing relentlessly from our dumpsters, while we wait for the egghead to return.

Spoiler

Oh god.  *cries forever*

I am dying.

Spoiler

To get this somewhat back on track, I just finished taking the Myers-Briggs personality test as my best attempt as Solas, and came up with INTJ. What was the other one people debated him being? INTJ seems pretty on point to me.

My Lavellan, by contrast, is a stable ENFP. Anyone else taken the personality test as their Lavellan? I'm interested to know how others play their Lavellans, and how they might relate to Solas.

Test here!

EDIT: Oh, top! Here's a Solavellan, by deedylovescake:

I definitely think Solas would appreciate True Detective. Great show, and I can definitely see some comparison between Solas and Rust Cohle.

Grim and fatalistic, yes. I love that show. Hope they can pull it off again without Rust in season 2.

There was debate but a lot of us think he's INTP. I'm 99% sure.

Here's the source: http://ageofdragon.t...ade-and-ancient

Pretty sure it's taken via flycam, but I don't remember when this moment happens in the game at all either...

I agree with INTJ. The main difference between myself and Solas is that I tend not to have judgements of people and things that are locked. He seems like the type to decide he dislikes someone, and sticks to that decision. Example, Dorian. I'm INTP, which makes me like to have options, leave things open ended. Dorian showing respect for me and trying to be friendly would probably work on me if the attempt seemed genuine. But it depends.

However, I do think Solas has a bit of both, and it's the difference between "black wolf" Solas, and "white wolf" solas. Hence him changing his opinion about you, though that's also probably just the PC being such a special snowflake.

Actually yea, scratch that last part.

I definitely agree on ITNP as well. In the thread where it was debated, someone made such a good case about INTP they convinced people who thought he could have been INFJ or INTJ. Me included.

I think what you're seeing there is T. T/F is one's basis for making decisions. Solas prefers to act according to principles, and he's not swayed by mitigating circumstances. I really don't see him as a J. The way he talks about exploring the Fade, for example, or just his emphasis in general on personal freedom and autonomy.

I strongly believe in personal freedom and autonomy. I do not understand your argument.
