We had a terrible winter full of snow and ice and face-numbing cold. I was always asking my friend in southern California if she wanted another roommate. I am a summer person all the way, so while I love Solas, appreciating a castle full of holes and crumbling pieces in the snowy mountains.....good intentions, poorly executed. Sounds familiar.

I was so glad the side benefits thing came back in the post-Mythal dialogue (with the right option). Such a hot line too. I think the original side benefits flirt was when I was well and truly gone in terms of wanting Solas. My canon is a rogue and that version is just the best.

A castle in the snow, in the mountains, with thin air that probably makes it heard to breathe, and probably horrible attempts at baking anything due to elevation (a girl needs cake sometimes). Also the guy who walks around in soft knitwear and half barefoot in the snow sent us here. He is unperturbed and would brush off these as inconveniences.

 

 

 

 

Couldn't said castle be in a more temperate and yet amenable location?

That always bothered me, he walks barefoot IN SNOW. How does he not have frostbite on his feet already?! Or is that some kind of sneaky wolf magic?

 

Also wanted to share my joke with my friend that Solas has a bad case of "Resting B*tch Face" when doing that Skyhold trek, he's so grumpy

That happened on my first, blind playthrough. I went right into this territory

 

 

 

(on my second now and doing it alllll over again).

During the final scene, I could FEEL all the fangirl hearts breaking, like you could pinpoint the exact moment it happened.  I think my reaction was something like "You have got to be kidding me!" which was funny, since that was actually a dialogue option xD

 

I am planning a third playthrough to do it alllllll again, but only once the Black Emporium is released (since I was stoopid and didn't make a note of the sliders for my Lavellan and I suck at recreating with the CC! D'oh  )

I'm also gonna throw out the small note that I wasn't sold on Solas when I first saw him revealed, I expected him to be a very up-himself character: always acting like he knows everything and being all "holier-than-thou." because he had the experience.  Then I started the game, and heard his chuckle and smile for the first time aaaaand then the fangirl crush began.  I am not ashamed to admit this xD

The devs published a character sheet some time. I saw it here on the thread but surely like 2000 pages ago. It had a list of the racial features and for elves it stated a high climate insensitivity and cold resistance.

Of course, they could have reflected this in the actual race builds/gameplay, but creating skimpy armor and writing it down on some character sheet is nearly as good.

Hey guys! Sorry for being off-topic, but I know alot of you guys know about mods. I know someone who has a fear of spiders and can't play the game without a mod that removes the spiders. I thought I saw something about a mod on tumblr that turned them into large blocks? Anyone know about that?
