Not your intention? You started off with "Addai was right" and ended with "I was wrong", which is a pretty strong statement.

Using the descriptions as a basis I have been classified as INTJ by both test and people. Regarding Solas I just think it is too hard to classify a character we know so little about. We would give him far too little credit doing that.

I simply have an authority problem. Take it as a compliment that I acknowledge your alpha type enough to have an issue with your level of certainty.

 

Heh, well I guess that works. I am fairly confident in that the argument for INTP is stronger than the one for INTJ. Lets put it that way.

 

I knew it because my defense of it was pretty weak and I spotted myself being stubborn because I knew what I was shown made too much sense to me. I was presented characteristics of Solas that I recognized as being like my own, and more than an INTJ, especially after looking at this:

So I naturally had to admit that to me, INTP seemed rather spot on, enough that I think with what we've been shown so far, most would agree.

I'm grabbing Asunder, Last Flight, and The Masked Empire. Is The Stolen Throne worth picking up, or any other worthable mentions?

 

I think it is (personally, I didn't care too much for it but I'm definitely re-purchasing it for kindle!).

The Stolen Throne is worth picking up if you want to know more of Maric and Loghain's backstory, that's for sure. ;)

I'm currently reading through Last Flight, but I can recommend The Stolen Throne, I enjoyed it :)

 

If only I didn't already own the books, I dread to think how much money I spent on them and I still have to get Masked Empire to complete my collection!  :pinched:

Stolen Throne made me go back and change my saves. That and actually seeing Orlais first hand.

Loghain dies everytime in my game too (but only because I didn't want to p*** off Alistair, who I was in a romance with) but he's a rather interesting character in the book.

 

And yes, Maric is an idiot, I have to say. :lol: Still, the book is worth a read. :P

Just a call out to UK DA fans.

 

Amazon Kindle has all of David Gaider's DA books on sale today for 99p plus Weeke's Masked Empire is also going for 99p...

 

Huh. Don't have a Kindle, but my mother has two... One of which she has left here, within arms reach. Teeeemptation.

 

Although typically I bought most of them last year. I haven't read The Stolen Throne though. Not sure I want to end up liking Loghain though. It's much easier to let him die when I think he's an arse.

Ooh yes, I forgot Alistair leaves if Loghain stays! Another reason against him. xD Unless Loghain made it a personal mission to save puppies, kittens and wandering babies, Alistair will always take priority. x)

 

I don't think we've ever gotten a reason to like Orlais at all yet, have we? Aside from our favourite companions that come from there, maybe. >.> Does the book give us one? Or more fuel for the fire, shall we say?

Actually he said that he was wrong. I'm not sure why you're taking it all personally, or why you're still discussing it when yesterday you said it wasn't interesting, but hey, whatever.

 

I'm convinced that INTP fits Solas the best and I said generally why here, and presented my reasoning and debated the alternatives in that thread I linked, so I don't see any usefulness in doing so again. But I'm also not going to go agnostic about it just because you disagree. You're free to make your own assessments and no one is stopping you. Just saying "he's like me" is rather subjective, though.
