Well, the way I saw it, Archer gave me time to despair over the combat and weep into my keyboard while I waited for everything to come off cooldown. xD I had to give it up to fight Loghain since it was impossible even on the Normal difficulty, and I enjoyed the daggers, but I missed twanging bits of woods at people.

 

Ah, I see then. xD I couldn't really get into archery in DAO though. I switch to archery only a few times during certain situations. One thing I missed from DAO that I wish was in DAI was the ability to switch between archery and your melee weapon. Maker knows that my archer Lavellan could make use of some of those extra daggers she's carrying to fight off baddies who get too close to her.

I hope so too.   I just get sour whenever people could rage on and on about characters they don't like (but I happen to like), but when I express a dislike for a character they happen to like, reactions tend to be... well, you could see for yourself. 

 

 

Oh, I'd also say DA2 is good to me because of the community! I've been following a few Solas tumblrs (to fill the void! Urgh! *drama*) and one of them in particular seems to have warm fuzzies about DA2s companions, especially Fenris, and I think that rubbed off on me, quite a bit.

 

Okay then.  I guess Fenris really isn't the character for me, no matter how many people tell me how awesome his romance is or whatever.

Yes! I'd love that too, but go further and  have a dedicated hotbar when switching to melee weapons! Archer had a lot of buttons to press, not enough to fit dagger abiltiies on the hotbar without going into keybinding. I don't think it'd be too complicated (in terms of learning, no idea in terms of coding), and it's easy to keep organized with your abilities.

 

I headcanon my Lavellan is equally adept at bows and daggers, I'd love to see it realized in game!

Merrill gives Solas a run for the money in the poor decisions department. 

 

Though at worst, Merrill's plans end with a dead clan -- which... Lavellan can also accomplish. The repercussions of the decisions our beloved egghead makes are a bit more substantial.

It's actually rather difficult for me to choose between Anders and Fenris.  I love them both!   Sebastian isn't too bad (love that accent) but come on, would a kiss kill you? Specially at the end there, where Hawke could die. A good luck kiss would be nice...but nooooo!!

Somehow I wasn't interested in the male LI's ...
Fenris was a typical, boring emo and Anders was more interessting in Dragon Age Origins - Awakening.
In the end, the mage romanced me... ~_~°

Actually I wanted Varric and was spitting fire, when I learned he wouldn't be an LI again.

I was expecting some flirting at least. Ah well ...
