All of the elements came together so well for Solas, but his performance really is just great at capturing the full range of emotion for all situations. The sheer subtlety that communicates multiple feelings, to venom-laced snark, to cracking sly jokes....all done so well.

Bianca, for what I have seen for now, I'd prefer to stomp on her with the war nug. I really don't like her. Mostly because I can't stand in RL persons who cheat on their boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife. If you don't love the person you are in a relationship anymore, be a responsible adult, and leave him/her if you want a new relationship.

it was an arranged marriage to a guy she doesn't love, which she only consented to to keep varric alive. she can't just leave, and the situation is so contrived and far removed from the norm that applying contemporary moral standards is just absurd.

 

i mean to each their own and i agree she got off pretty light considering the ramifications of her actions, though she couldn't possibly have known that approaching a grey warden with the thaig could have led to what it did.

 

but no i don't blame her for cheating on boghden, i'm sure he's a nice guy and all but by his part in the marriage he has at least tacitly complicit in some really shady dealings on behalf of the merchant's guild.

I dunno, thanks to that Solas-convo, I always wondered if that was what happened to Mythal - if she was murdered, eventually reformed, and sought out a host via the Fade, reaching out to Flemeth. But she still seems to recall her time as Mythal, if that's the case. And, if that's the case, I'd guess that would make the Elvhen Pantheon into epic spirits of some sort who might just be above all that forgetting-stuff, just as they are advanced enough to be able to develop more emotionally than your average spirit of wisdom does. Eh?

 

Basically, I refuse to accept that possibility. Nope! XD Nooope.

I really don't believe this marriage is quite so "forced". Is quite clear she could go to wherever she want, and do what she want. She isn't in a cage. Assassins still go after Varric. and she talk of it as if it is a joke. So...nope. Don't really believe much the story "married to protect Varric". At all. (never heard anything about forced marriage, by the way. Approved by Bianca's family? yes. Forced? no. It seem more like bianca's parents want Varric away to not ruin the marriage.)

 

Still, it would be quite easy for such "intelligent, better than Branka, and more worthy of becaming a Paragon" girl to escape her family restrictions to be free. She is already free doing what she want, after all.

 

And for believing a Gray Warden...I would ask myself something if I was approached byt his guy...

It would need much more work from the writers for her to be more likeable, but if she ever came back in the DA serie, I hope it is to break definitvely the bond she have with Varric, so he can have a life. Be it with Harding, or, why not, Dagna. Or simply alone, but serene.

I always took it was a forced marriage, since it's mentioned she ran away from her own wedding multiple times (Varric says something like "I hear it was a beautiful ceremony, the one she turned up to anyway"), so from there I assume she's dragged back each time. It's not difficult to believe that her family worked out the connection between her and Varric and threatened him. Hell, he is being threatened by them. He's not allowed to be seen by her, but they both take that risk regardless. It's bittersweet.

 

Also, Varric's a big boy, he can walk away from the relationship too, but to him it's worth the pain. I won't judge them.

I am sad the only time we see her in game is when she basically screws Varric over, unintentionally, but still. It does nothing to her character.

That's really just fan speculation. There might be more to Sera than we know, but we don't actually know what, if anything. The Sera-is-Andruil theory is interesting, but I'll roll my eyes so hard if we Randomly Happen to Have all the elven gods popping up in our party. I mean, c'mon.

Psht, nah, I totally sided with Larius most of the time. Janeka was, ah, not so nice? Not as creepy looking, though. Larius could use a shower or two. And a haircut. And ... a much healthier complexion. xD

 

Come to think of it, I wonder how charming Cory was? Since he was possessing them and all. I find it hard to believe he managed to resist spouting Teventir superiority every two seconds.

the way he delivers that line sort of implied to me that she left varric at the alter

 

I really don't believe this marriage is quite so "forced". Is quite clear she could go to wherever she want, and do what she want. She isn't in a cage. i never implied she was dragged to the church in chains and remains shackled in her kitchen at home baking pies, but what else would you call it when they threaten to kill varric if they remain together? that is the very definition of coercion. almost this exact conversation happens in "until we sleep".

 

Varric explicitly says to you that the guild would empty all his accounts and then kill him if they ever catch them together ("maybe not in that order").

 

and varric loves making light of serious situations, that's just writing in character.

yeah which is why they send each other letters, but evading her parents for a few indiscretions and evading the merchant's guild indefinitely and aligning yourself against the entirety of surface dwarven society are two entirely different things.
