Over in the Executors thread in Story and Campaign, someone brought up the fact that Varric has mention of the Executors in his Hard in Hightown book, and that Worthy denies sending the threatening letter like in the book. The Merrill in Hard In Hightown mentions them as a legendary and fake organization behind the assassination of Queen Madrigal of Antiva. But that's always been attributed to the Antivan Crows. Possibly the Crows just pretended they killed her to ride the popularity wave. It's all so strange. Why would Varric have them in his book? Why would the Executors send a message to Skyhold like that? What the devil is going on?!

Also, Varric's a big boy, he can walk away from the relationship too, but to him it's worth the pain. I won't judge them.
A little late, but given how many bad dating decisions I've made in video games, I don't think I have a leg to stand on either

I still love writing this kind of stuff too! And reading it, for that matter. It's easy to forget that Solas and Lavellan had quite a while together where they were happy, and he had some measure of peace and joy in his life.

Oh my, that... that sounds absolutely horrible.
It reminds me that I still don't have a satisfactory headcanon to deal with the fact that Lavellan is mortal.
