I just went from this thread to the news and saw this headline and laughed:
"The Night My Husband Revealed To Me His Double Life"
Has our need for DLC really gotten this bad?
Found it. It is in the first room in Redcliffe, that has a Rift in it.
Go to timestamp 46:29.
So I hopped into game and took a few screenshots for my collection. I find it really interesting that depending on where you're standing you'll have both the upside down and the right side up Triangles. And on the opposite sides you have the 2nd pattern that you see around Thedas. If the Triangle is Sacrifice I wonder what the Squiggly is.

Yes, yes it has.
Over the course of my existence in these forums I have spent countless minutes watching this damn gif, with no regrets. @_@
Surprised to state I've made a new observation: Solas has a nice neck. I want to nip his Adam's apple. And that ****** jaw. Hnnnng.
I went from....that goofy looking potato elf, no way to.....admiring all of his lines (jaw, the way he stands, body shape) and features and face and gestures, and that gif and the video of that scene which, no I haven't watched way too many times, why do you ask?
I love how some of us see Solas as the sexiest and most desirable man in the game, while others are like, "Eww, ugly baldy elf dude?" xD
Also, I found this. xD
"My new pillow really ties the room together." xD

And just in case anyone else is interested in art asset I-spy I found it again. Right after that woman sacrifices her buddy in Redcliffe and they turn into demons.
Well, I generally find myself attracted to people based more on personality (though looks come into play too). So it was one reason I chose to play as an elf, because of having the most options if not restricted by gender. I'm not surprised to find myself in this position when it comes to Solas. I'm not usually into bald guys but hey. My boyfriend has thinning hair so he tells me Solas is preparing me for him to shave his head someday. Ha.
Though whenever I tell someone I went for Solas my first playthrough, the usual response is "Oh, I'm sorry".
I need to do that mission again on my mage. I was thinking about siding with the Templars this time but I created a Dalish mage who is, you know, technically an apostate and doesn't know or care about circles, so I've been thinking about just redoing a mage alliance. I realize that going to Therinfall is a player decision but an out of character one. I'll go there on an eventual human circle mage marked for Cullen.
Good luck, I always end up on solas arms, no matter how many times I try romancing Cullen
The mage is Dalish for a reason. ![]()
I planned to do the human circle mage as my second playthrough but made her an elf at the last moment.

I keep meaning to do a run siding with the Templars, partially because I want to see Calpernia in all her glory (Samson bores me), but mostly because apparently as you're walking towards Therinfall Keep you can see a glimpse of Cole walking behind the group, and I want to see if it's true. But damnit, I love my apocalypse stories so Dark Future Redcliffe always draws me back, I always promise myself "the next playthrough,". ![]()
Edit: Speaking of Cole, I've always wanted to share this pic but it's so off-topic. Let's make it on topic: If Solas was a character in the Mass Effect Universe, what race and class would he be? (Note: You can't cheat and say Mordin.
)

I found a non mage Trevelyan the easiest to send to the templars. You can headcanon your way into anything but there's barely any work needed for a mundy noble.
You do see Cole. I've peeked at the screenshots. You get him earlier and Dorian later. I love them both, so either way works. But In Hushed Whispers is just SO well done, but I also keep hearing so much good about Calpernia.

Right. I may suck it up and play a different class, but my headcanon for this was going to be a displaced circle mage who appreciates that structure, so this would probably be my opposite day playthrough from my canon where she's friends with Vivienne (who probably will become Divine with the 'order' decisions I'd make) and so on. Probably romancing Cullen but maaaaaybe Sera. I kind of love Sera.
Some more I-Spy. This is the Venatori fire mine spells. I don't have a fire mage atm so not sure if it's the same as the inquisitor's / companion's or not. Probably is. I think it just makes it a re-used asset I think.
Edit: Chain Lightning also uses the same Triangle symbol.

That's amazing.
He has such a big hat and he still went by unnoticed. That subtlety is something I really love about DA:I.
Makes me wonder at how many other little things I might have missed because I wasn't paying attention to the sidelines/background.

I liked this the most about DAI... but also hated it, because it essentially chooses who I'm going to feel closer to in the game, Dorian or Cole. I WANT TO BE BESTIES WITH BOTH!
I just don't feel much for one of them if I didn't do their mission.

*sighs* That jawline of his...
Consider this my Solas' Jawline Dedication post. xD
Unf!
EDIT: ToP again. Okay, here's a cute Solavellan art by our very own deedlylovescake. ![]()

I love both of them so much, but my one problem was I specialized assassin and it made Cole kind of redundant. Unfortunate, since I wanted him around with Solas. My party was mostly Solas, Cassandra, and Dorian for most of the game. On my canon save I've been doing cleanup (shards, dragons, collections, mosaic pieces, etc), so I did a respec and made Cole an assassin archer and it's awesome.
Another reason I want to go to the Templars as a mage was that I'd have him and Solas in the party together most of the game. So I may just say screw it and go for the Templars this time. Maybe conscription to please the egg.
Oh I do stare at that mouth.
