All right, this has undone me this morning. I'm going to be snickering the rest of the day and everyone is going to give me strange looks.

I need an AU where all of F!Lavellan’s lines are voiced by Isolde pfff hahaha

“WAAAT DUUSSS DEEEES MEEEEN SOHHHLAAAASSSS”

“YUUUU FEEEHHLT DEEE HOLLLL WEERRRRLLDD SHEEEEFT?”

“EEEENDOHHHHMEEETAAAHHBUUULL FOOHHHCAAASS?”

http://brelakor.tumblr.com/post/113861156707/i-need-an-au-where-all-of-f-lavellans-lines-are

I had to read that last one out loud several times to get it.

I support this 100%.  Make it happen, Bioware.

Funny, I was just thinking about how Solas would look like with vallaslin on my way home from work today. Though that artwork kind of convinced me that I very much prefer him without one. :P

I really like this one

http://the13th-warri...-Wolf-520762045

I like this one too. :D

So... today is St. Patrick's Day.

I imagine Solas' favorite color is green.  That shade of green his orb was. The breach sure was beautiful. Dagna said that, right?

Same here. The Fade also kind of looked green didn't it? And his starting outfit was on the green side. (So much green... xD)

Also, out of disappointment for me choosing not to buy the Solas tea, I made myself a cup of green tea and mint with honey. See? All the green! (Happy St. Patrick's Day to those who celebrate it.  ^_^ )

Well crud.  I love teas, but I try to avoid super caffeinated ones too.  Caffeine turns me into a squirrel, then a headache-y mess.

Saame. I get very shaky and my heart flips out. I'll be fine for a couple of days of drinking caffeinated teas, but I'll have to detox on decaf for a while before drinking a lot of these teas regularly.

hmm...that is a good idea...green tea and mint with honey.  I think I'll make a cup as well. :D

I'll probably give in and buy the sample tea set eventually.  I just love tea.

Personally I think the introductions for Cole/Dorian makes more sense if you side with the Templars and get Cole first. Seeing him first gives you a reason to trust him and let the creepy spirit thing stay (you're not creepy Cole I love you), and Dorian earning your trust by attempting to warn you about the Tevinter mages on the incoming feels more realistic.

I agree with your assessment, but alas, as a Stargate SG-1 geekaloid, I MUST take the time travel option for canon. MUST. I've said this before, it is like catnip.

Besides, the less I have to deal with those douches in white armor, the better. At least as red crystal freaks, their douchebaggery makes sense.

Anywho, besides that, it also makes the story feel more meaningful for me. Corypheus' only time to shine really is in the future where he's won. Without that, I have absolutely no reason to fear him, and the story for me just doesn't have the same urgency.

This is the source of my conundrum.

Can I also interest you in Krem/Harding? It's a ship with no canon evidence other than 'oh gosh, they'd be SO CUTE together' but I think it works.

I'd sign on to ship this ship.

I would be lying if I said I didn't know exactly what I was doing when I posted The Gif™. I should start pulling it out during arguments. "Yes, I know, but look!" *Solaskiss* Instantly win all arguments/broker peace.

This was an act of pure evil.

I see your point. It's a shame that Samson/Calpernia make better villains than the main villain does. ;_; Although how much can we relate to a mega-tall creepy Darkspawn dude?

And the only thing of Stargate I've seen is the movie from all those years ago. Fond memories. x)

Try a character inspired drink to celebrate St Patrick's Day! http://savegameonlin...n-age-cocktails
Here's Solas's:

Solas isn’t exactly what you would call a “people person.” An Elven apostate mage who holds no allegiance to either the Dalish or city elves, his magical abilities are completely self taught, and he lives a life of isolation in the wilderness. He spends most of his time exploring the Fade, and has a vast knowledge of both what lies beyond the Veil, and the spirits that reside there. This gives him a unique insight into the Breach, and makes him an invaluable addition to the Inquisition. Solas can come off as aloof and somewhat cold, showing little interest in the war between mages and Templars. But as distant as he may appear, there is a measured purpose to everything Solas does, as if there is a greater cause he is fighting for which he keeps hidden to all but himself. His drink is a complex blend of gin, sweet and sour mix, sour apple pucker, whiskey and blue curacao. Filled with lemonade, it appears calm and inviting at first, but has powers and dangers hidden within it to be discovered, much like Solas himself.

Recipe

  • 1 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Sweet and Sour Mix
  • 1/2 oz Whiskey
  • 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
  • 1/3 oz sour apple pucker
  • Fill with Lemonade

This actually makes a ton of sense. I did it the first time since I've been pro mage freedom since Origins and as a Dalish elf, she had no reason not to back freedom/self-governance. Been waffling  whether to take the Templar option  on my mage just to experience it, but she's also Dalish and a mage and I explained this before anyway. So I think I'll be going through IHW again really soon.

Yes to Samson/Calpernia. Re: Corypheus -   They managed to make The Architect...sympathetic(???) Likeable(???)  I dunno, I really liked him and thought that the decision to side with him or not was really well done. He made a compelling case. I always side with him. If Corypheus was more like Legacy Corypheus and we had a choice in this one, I would have ilkely sided with him as well.  My whole world would have been filled with smooth talking Tevinter magisters with velvety voices.

Is the reason that people celebrate Saint Patrick's Day by getting drunk because of residual Irish guilt and confusion over the fact that the only reason they're Catholic is that they enslaved a British guy and he came back with a vengeance and a leveled Persuasion Skill? I've always been a bit confused by that. I mean, I guess most Saint's Days are used as feast-days and an excuse to throw a party, but...*shrug*

So apparently I can't get good cheese in my area, and tea leaves instead of tea bags are very rare and very expensive. :( Dat Solas tin, though.

The Architect was creepy to listen to on headphones, he wheezed as he spoke a lot. It was creepy. It was awesome. The Mother absolutely terrifies me, seriously I watched all her scenes behind my fingers, that's my only reason for siding with The Architect. Also he does seem regretful for having to kill Wardens to awaken his bretheren, I can totally see his point.

The mother is terrifying but I find her quite sad.  I think we talked about this many many pages back, but i think the darkspawn are pretty much a hive mind. They answer the call. The song.  It gives them direction -- a purpose. A wholeness.  The Architect severs the mother from that when he gives her 'consciousness'.  It drives her insane.  It may even be worse for broodmothers just because of what they are.  So the song is silent.  There is no sense of "belonging". She is alone.   I wouldn't side with her becuase of that. She's unhinged but I kind of feel for her a bit.

I don't really think the Irish need much of a reason to get drunk.
