Aw, don't feel so bad over it. Bras are a fact of life, and trying to figure out shirt fits online is a right pain. Your effort at explaining is appreciated, I'm sure.

But since you asked..

It was my first purchase of a shirt there too, so I understand. I don't really like posting things like my bra size online either but it reallllly helps with shirts.

Anyway, I'm a 38DD, and 5'5". I'm curved in shape and got the shirt in L but I feel like I could go down to M, but I haven't washed it and dried it yet to see if it shrinks down slightly. So just going on that maybe the L since it's a bit longer too? This one is a 'longer fit' but it hits like...at my hip and not rolling up.

This chart actually helped me make sense of other size charts that show only numbers for length x width of shirts: http://www.teefury.c...om/size_chart/ I wish more shops did this sort of thing.

That chart is really awesome, visual scales are a lot easier for me to read instead of numbers! That's where it gets confusing for me, since I am curved with a waist but I fill out so shirts tend to pull tight around my middle  <_<

Thank you for the help, I think I may have it sorted  <3

EDIT: Order is placed, now I must wait...the struggle is real!

Did me posting my bra size really float to the top of a new page?

Quick, post hot Solas gifs!

The poem is a family motto that had been passed down generations to Fairel and his sons. But why would dwarves need fear dragons underground? Unless they're talking about the Old God Dragons underground? I thought maybe ancient dwarves roamed the surface freely, but the writer makes it sound like even an ancient dwarf being above ground was an uncommon occurrence.

Thoughts?

I understood that they only feared the dragons that were on the surface in case they needed to escape the belowground.

(in case I misunderstood your question, I'm sorry)

This poem is in the family before any of Fairel's family is on the surface. That's what is so weird.

I would normally feel weird posting this, but I like to think that we are all ladies/fangirls here :P

I am 5ft 8in tall and 40B in the boob department (sadly not blessed, but you play the hand you're dealt xD)

It would be nice to get a first-hand opinion, instead of me wasting $20 for something that doesn't fit (always the risk when buying online, alas)

You've already ordered, but I'm a 34D and 5'3". I got a medium, and it was a little loose on me (though not in the chest department), though I felt it was a little short in the torso. I have a weird body though.

Everyone has D busts, it makes me sad  :crying:

Thanks for the extra info! I went for a Ladies XL, it's probably a bit too much on the safe side, but my shirts have a habit of getting small after a wash or two. That's either my body or how I'm washing them...either way, I don't want to risk it with treasured BW merchandise :D

I got a codex for ya, Caddius.

http://dragonage.wik...n_Dwarven_Ruins

So Kal Repartha (that dwarven city in the Hissing Wastes) was built "thousands" of years ago. From the descriptions of Fairel's weapons, it was definitely pre-first blight. The dwarves lost most of their advanced civilization along with their empire in the blight (not unlike the fall of Arlathan).

What's really interesting is the mention of the "urtok" or dragon.

"From the Stone, have no fear of anything,
but the stone-less sky betrays with wings of flame.
If the surface must be breached, if there is no other
way,
bring weapons against the urtok, and heed their
screams."

Ooh!  :o  ^_^  :D

Hmm. *cracks knuckles, puts tin hat on*

Yavana speaks of a time when dragons ruled the skies. The apparent Titan that the Tevinter made statues of was seeking the 'blood of the earth', which the Tevinter took to be lyrium and I take to be dragons, since if the Titan wanted lyrium he'd be heading underground, and Yavana also refers to dragons as the blood of the earth. This is around the time that the Imperial Highway was being constructed in Ferelden. Arlathan fell centuries ago, and Tevinter is near the peak of its power, but beginning to face the civil strife that would lead to its ruin. (Pushed along by the Blight and Andraste, of course.) The way the Titan speaks of staying alive, it sounds like whatever system it thrived in had fallen apart, and it was desperately searching for more dragons. There used to be a lot more dragons, but the Nevarrans killed most of them, nearly driving them into extinction. If asked politely, a certain Seeker Pentaghast will be happy to re-enact this for you.  But that was a very long time after all of this happened, and even then, dragons don't sound so nearly as common as Fairel's words counsel. Perhaps he was just a dwarf that understandably felt a little paranoid about the giant ass lizards that can fly and breathe fire. As mind-blowing as the concept of 'sky' is for dwarves, dragons must be nightmares indeed.

Previously, a lot of us have theorized that the dragons were overthrown by the Creators who took their forms and tamed some of them, and that the tale of Elgar'nan overthrowing the Sun is a mimicry of that. Now I'm thinking that dragons were powerful creatures alternatively hunted, courted, or banished by Arlathan, and that dragons were the particular enemy of the Titans, for whatever reason. Something happened to cause the collapse of the Primeval Thaig, and the switch from their polytheistic beliefs to the ancestor worship of the Paragons, which became the state religion at the time of their alliance with Tevinter, under the reign of Gareck and Stonehammer.

Fairel sounds kind of amazing. When he encounters dragons flying around, he just invents weapons to slay them.  It's curious that it was passed down to Fairel and his sons, implying a dwarven familiarity with dragons. Perhaps the Titans used the dwarves as servants in dragon-hunts. Solas seems somewhat familiar with dwarves as having been a powerful people, and we know that Arlathan and the dwarves had dealings. But the dwarves didn't seem to have a unified empire for most of their history. The dwarves are unified right as Tevinter unifies the Neromenian kingdoms, and both team-up to mop up Arlathan.

The name of Fairel's city meaning "The Place Where We May Meet" is intriguing as well. Where who could meet with Fairel's dwarves? Elves? Dragons? Titans? What the devil was going on?

If dragons were that common, and Arlathan held that much sway, I can understand dwarves not wanting to go on the surface at all. The mention of the Stone either implies that there was already Paragon worship, just not as set down in stone :P as it was by Stonehammer's time, or that it was set in that period, or that the previous religion of the dwarves incorporated the Stone, whether as a force or just as home.

Either way, I really understand why Morrigan is so desperate to preserve the past of Thedas. It sounds fantastic.

And those are my initial thoughts. :D

...Also the Architect/Corypheus forever!

I guess ancient dwarves had strained relationship with Arlathan. Look at this song:

Elgar'nan, Wrath and Thunder,

Give us glory.
Give us victory, over the Earth that shakes our cities.
Strike the usurpers with your lightning.
Burn the ground under your gaze.
Bring Winged Death against those who throw down our work.

Elgar'nan, help us tame the land.

Maybe dwarves and their Titans had some power over earth and elven gods actively used dragons to fight them.

Elgar'nan is one of my favorites and I don't know why. He needs more fandom love.

I can see the dwarves using sappers and the like to mess up Arlathan architecture.

Strike the 'usurpers' stands out. Is he referring to the other gods trying to overthrow Papa Elgie, or is he referring to the dwarves trying to take the Elves' place as the power in Thedas? Winged Death is a further hint to the Arlathanese (It's a word now, by gum) either using tamed dragons as weapons or taking the form of dragons as an evolved form of shapeshifting. Elgar'nan seems to be fond of burning things.

We could even go further and say that the Sun was thrown in the Abyss and birthed the Forgotten Ones and possibly the Blight, (or that the Abyss was already Blighted), and that the Earth referred to here is what the dwarves call the Stone, their mother.

So humans entered a family squabble.

And yeah, the image of dwarves+Titans fighting elves+dragons is awesome. Those murals in the Temple of Mythal support it. "We come to hunt the pillars of the earth," Oh really? The Titans seem quite tall. Certain Titans are famous for their holding things up.  ^_^ And their witless workers would be the dwarves in this case, though I doubt anyone's ever accused any non-deshyr dwarves of being witless.

I need DLC with explanations!

I want Kal'sharok! (Assuming Kal=A Place, then what does Sharok mean?)

Yes, that is weird. The legend says they escaped from the war waged between two thaigs, but legends have been wrong before. If the verse really had been in the family for generations, maybe they were plotting to escape something horrible that was spreading  underground, but were still hoping they could overcome this?

Awww....this is sort of cute. It's like that one 2 week period Liz had TEH FEELZ.

Yeah. T'was a two week period of Solavellan feels. Before I got hit with the thighs. HARD. Still shipping my Lavellan on that boat.

But Adaar? She's climbing Mount Evariste Lemarque aka Fairbanks straight to the summit. So fast. So hard. Right now.

I'm an inconstant mistress - if you want my fidelity you have to keep my interest. And you know, stick around to continue to pique my interest. Or else I am gone. Down the river. With new... exciting fish that take my breath away.

The legend says that Fairel was killed during a war between 2 thaigs. Clearly, he didn't die but I'm willing to believe that the war existed. It would also explain why he named his city "The Place Where We May Meet" or Kal Repartha.

Elgie can have all my love, hell, I even drew him

Anyway, I support this opinion about already-extinct-dragons, because in Arrlathan they were sacred, their temples had dragon statues all over. You don't worship something flying in the sky by the dozens. That would also explain Yavana's national dragon park.

Yes, apparently there's a difference between underground and surface legends (inscription in the Hissing Wastes: http://dragonage.wik..._Hissing_Wastes). Some war must have clearly happened, but I still can't shake the feeling that for generations they feared they needed to escape to the surface. Would tensions between two thaigs, that would eventually lead to a huge war really last for a hundred generations? The legend also says Fairel built fantastic weapons of destruction. Again, maybe there was something horrible underground they needed the weapons for, but turned on each other instead. Maybe.
