Hello thread, I thought I would share my second Solavellan drabble.. It's not fluffy, it made me sad (fair warning!). It's pretty short.

Luckily, I'm somewhat immune to sad dreams headcanon, having written it out of my system a while ago.

Thank you very much everyone for your kind words  I was just so shocked that people got so angry and started attacking me for my fade tongue comment.  I was responding to a post about how the OP wanted Solas to be confirmed ace, and I replied I would prefer his sexuality kept ambiguous and mentioned fade tongue.  I mean... fade tongue can be canon in game if you choose the right option so doesn't it count?  Just as much as not choosing those more sexual options.  And then I'm still confused over how we have to tag anything sexual with Solas as "sexual Solas."  If it's bad, I usually just tag NSFW...  I don't know; I personally see Solas as demisexual so he's extremely sexual once he's into you.  But that's just how I view him :3

 

I usually have a good time on tumblr because there's a lot of funny people to talk with...  LOL and I'm thinking how some of those rude people are probably way younger than me (I'm 29!) so it's like, "respect yer elders, kids!"  I really want to show that I'm respectful of others so I'd like to be educated instead of attacked.

How about a hands on her hips, pulling her into a dip right onto his thigh while in a deep kiss.....then another?

 

Reads clear to me, though I can sort understand how people can headcanon otherwise. It's not like asexual people have to be aromantic, but to me it reads clear form the beginning and the sheer whoa....hot surprise of this was what sealed Solas for me.

It should be a rule that someone has to post this every few pages. You know.. to keep everyone on topic.

It's okay. Deep down, I am too. And I'm speaking with my wealth of experience, having done this for /two/ whole weeks. 

 

I actually think it's pretty interesting how many people explore some of the same ideas in their fiction without even talking to other writers or reading what they wrote. I think it's a testament to the world building and to Solas as a character, and to where people's collective curiosity lies.

Also, I'll agree here. Maybe I'm just weird or something, but I'm pretty sure a butt-grab mid-make-out is a statement of sexual intent/ desire.

Same here, and I would be kind of hesitant to share but maybe someday when it's not just a few snippets here and there, but maybe an actual coherent thing, or a few short coherent things.

I'm dreading this the most.

 

I can just imagine, the announcement drops, ALL the fans flocking to the page in a mass pilgrimage, and...it turns out to be Multiplayer DLC.  Then there's some evil person in the background rubbing their hands in glee at the disappointment and heartbreak   

 

Wait, forget I said anything...I don't want to give anyone ideas.  It'll be fiiiiiine!

I actually hope that Wolf-Hunt DLC comes out last (or at any rate not first), because just imagine having to endure a month or more of increasing spoilers until you can finally play it. Except for people who own an Xbox - they get to feel deeply smug, as well they should.

 

And also (because I'm a one-trick pony and have nothing else to contribute) here's the next craze in Solas poetry - all the cool kids are doing it: the Tyrdda Bright-Axe format. I've started taking this way too seriously, but I can't seem to summon any shame about it? Weird.

 

Lone Fen'Harel, Pride repentant, slumbered through the shifting years,

Woke from cobwebbed uthanera, cracked the ancient dust with tears.

Cradled he the fade-bright foci, locked against his weakened grasp,

Canny trickster, full of cunning, tracked the flag that bears the asp.
