The last time I was in the Exalted Plains, we were attacked by some Freemen not far from a small herd of Halla. That damn adorable Egg used chain lightning (my bad....forgot to disable it ), and was soon killing all the Halla. He completely stopped aiming at the Freemen with bows (that really hurt, dammit!), and long blades. No, no. Solas believed it was prudent to kill the questionably sentient deer like creatures, that are often associated with humanoids with pointy ears. Those that look vaguely similar to himself.

Yes! Unfortunately my pictures of Merrill tea came out even worse than usual, so I'll have to rebrew it tomorrow. This is not a tragedy though, as it was delicious. 

 

I've been logging some of the tea reviews on my no-art tumblr! I now have all of the teas with character art on them, so I've got about 12 or so blends to go through. 

 

Alright Mims, you convinced me! I just put in an order for the Dragon Age Sampler Set.

 

The tins were too cute to resist, and I'm curious to learn more about tea because I wanted to switch a healthier caffine source than soda and coffee just hasn't been jiving with me lately. I just started this past week or so and have been drinking green tea like crazy! Also picked up some noncaffinated chamomile tea that someone here recommended for getting sleepy before bed and tried that first the first time last night. It was both yummy and sleep-inducing. Anyway, looking forward to trying out some of these fancy teas when they get here. Any tips on brewing teas that don't, you know, come in a little bag?

 

Solas would certainly disapprove of the caffinated teas, but you'd think he'd at least like the noncaffinated sleepy time ones!

Alright Mims, you convinced me! I just put in an order for the Dragon Age Sampler Set.

Tea is so much healthier than soda! I actually stopped drinking most kinds of sodas maybe...three years ago? I definitely don't regret the choice. I do miss coffee, but most blends are just too caffeinated for me to handle regularly. 

 

Loose tea leaves are best handled with a strainer. I use a little contraption from teavanna that I love. So easy and not much to fuss about as far as preparation goes. But you can also use an old fashion tea holder. Some people even like to leave the loose tea leaves at the bottom of the cup. I don't recommend it, but maybe you'll find a good fortune! 

 

Really any strainer will work, so long as it is small enough to catch the tea bits.

Sadly no! I just really, really like tea. And I had a moment of angst at 4am in the morning and happened to order almost all of the tins that the DA set had to offer. No regrets.

That flower crown is going to look so good on my second Inquisitor, when I get around to the Emerald Graves. I guess I could go back and get it to my first lady too. I'm just kind of bummed I removed her vallaslin. I feel like it would add extra flair.

I love star anise and soy sauce, so that sounds wonderful! I'll definitely look at a few recipes and make a batch. Sounds like it'd make a nice lunch rather than breakfast.

Things I enjoy about the new quest the most: I literally just wrote a fic entitled 'flower crown', wherein my Lavellan makes Solas a flower crown. I put it up a few days before this all happened. And now it could be canon. CANON.

Just so I can be another person who gains disapproval from Solas for liking tea, might I suggest http://www.uptontea.com for some seriously good, high quality tea? I like them way better than Teavana. Monk's Blend and Rooibos Chai are my favorites.

 

I haven't played DAI in a couple of weeks while waiting for DLC news, but I'm going to have to hop on my completionist run to get that flower crown. I found that staircase long ago, so at least I know where to go...
