I wouldn't take advice from an apostate hobo regarding fashion.

Urgh, I'm getting frustrated with this game. Five hours in the Western Approach and not a single sodding bit of banter. T_T I want to hear Cole telling knock-knock jokes to Varric. I don't want to have to watch them on youtube, but I might have to.
Less RNG in future please, BioWare, thank you.
On-topic: I want to hear Solas's banter too!
All I can think of is how he mentions how he was reckless and how he thought he knew everything, but I don't think this means that the pantheon were entirely innocent. Regardless of how reckless and arrogant he was, he was still clever. They did need to be locked away, but perhaps he focused too much on cutting off the hydras head, without realizing the problem went far beyond the pantheon themselves. With this, how would unleashing them once more benefit the People?
Lately I've been less convinced that his intention is to free the gods.
I'm not sure Solas wants to free the gods either, especially after the way he talks about them in the Temple of Mythal. But if the pantheon is corrupted due to the Blight, I absolutely think they'd be trying to free themselves.
In the video some of you posted awhile back where the Inquisitor confronts Solas about the elves, he says he doesn't know how to help them. Somewhere between then and the end of the game, he must figure it out because he tells Flemeth that the people need him. Maybe because Mythal is still alive and with her power he can go... do... stuff? I have no idea. ![]()
"Keeper" could be an old holdover from Arlathan. The idea of a Keeper dedicated to a particular god makes me think of an upper slave, or perhaps a reeve:

That would make sense. Didn't the elven empire extend across most of Thedas at one time? Gods or mages or whatever the pantheon was, I doubt they could have controlled all that territory without some kind of governmental structure in place.
Edited to add: this is completely off topic, but I had to share because I saw it linked on Mr. Weekes' twitter and now I'm crying from laughing so hard. Poor Master Dennet: http://siriusdraws.t...r-master-dennet

There is a cure for the blight remember? The warden went west, Solas was last seen going west, if his plan WAS to free the elven gods, he could be looking for a way to cure the blight, if they have it. Something important tied to the blight is west.
yes, across all of thedas like a great indolent cat per a codex entry

I love that, and it's one of the bonuses of taking the rivalry path with Solas. An Inquisitor who does gets the opportunity to tell him to keep fighting, and it sounds like he genuinely considers it. I would even go as far as to say that he does because of the Inquisitor's urging.
That's something the friendship/romance path doesn't get to see. Although I would argue that a friendmanced/romanced Solas decides to keep fighting because the Inquisitor's so awesome, but that's down to headcanon I suppose. And me being a giant sap.

There's also that archdemon in the Western Approach ![]()

This is worrying. I don't want Solas to come anywhere near Archdemons and Blight. He said through Cole that his fate is something he wouldn't wish even on an enemy. This is so worrying. ![]()

Don't worry! He and the HoF are going to cure the Blight and then cure the Pantheon! Then the Pantheon will go back to being normal and not scary/crazy and then there will be GLITTER! GLITTER FOR EVERYONE! WORLD PEAS!

I like the idea of Solas and my Warden working together to cure the Blight. That would be awesome providing BW doesn't pull another "Hawke" decision again...I'm not strong enough to face that choice again.

Also, I really WANT Solas and the HoF to be the ones investigating the blight. After all, wtf have the Wardens been doing for 1000 years? Sitting on their asses, that's what. It's about time somebody INTELLIGENT took a look at the blight instead of just throwing up their hands like "Herp Derp we hit darkspawn with sword!" and calling it a day.

that codex entry was awesome
you're literally standing at the dig site with a giant sink hole leading straight down to an archdemon
you don't understand how badly i wanted to jump down that hole with my knight enchanter, although i guess getting back up...

I tried like 5 times..... BIOWARE Y U DO DIS TO ME??????
Gah, I'm falling in love with DA fic reading all over again.
So many Solas ones have been so beautifully written, it's bittersweet but I love it ![]()
I got fluffing RAGEY when Blackwall started in on his fake-warden sanctimonius bullshit like "The world would be better off if people just fought evil instead of trying to understand it" or somesuch stupidity.
Like HELLOOOO????? How about we figure this **** out to end it permanently instead of just ineffectually chipping away at the darkspawn numbers??????
Fluffing anti-intellectuals... *grumbles*

It was when I was in Valammar, and I asked Blackwall how many Darkspawn are about, and he responds with 'Nothing we can't handle' that sent me in a rage. Bloody hell man there could be 50 Ogres down here for all you know!
Also whenever Vivienne says that the last blight proved you only need 2 wardens to end a blight. She needs to read last flight.

yeah technically it was 3
and also i don't think the story of how wardens almost wiped out all the griffons but for a few eggs with blood magic would impress vivienne

Too good to be true? Maaaaybe. But hey, I'm tired of bad endings. This is the best scenario ever. I would be satisfied.
I've had my share of tears, time for some fun, at last! ![]()
