You are most welcome! And as a gif wielder, I concur.

I did indeed, I'm english which is always an important thing to emphasise when talking about hunting, I think. I used to be a Hunt Saboteur, I was arrested and thrown in a cell for 12 hours just to get me out of the way (along with others). But the assault is a different story, still hunt related, just different times. Long story short, I was ridden down (galloped into) by a senior hunt member and had my wrist smashed to pieces, 6 months off work and the inability to do things that I'd like to do, for instance I can't play the guitar even if I wanted to, I've tried, I used to spin poi (if anyone knows what that is), which I can't anymore...so foxes always have a special place in my heart. Sadly I've seen the horror too which I won't go into, didn't take it well...a scene with me screaming and crying while a group of 20-30 wankers on horseback all laughed at me was something that got some poetry out of me. I've chilled out now, but animals are still my thing
. hence the reason I don't kill them in games lol
That boils my blood. As an American, I had no idea that was even still going on over the pond.
I am very sorry for what happened to you. You're a hero in my book.
Exactly, population control is what gamekeepers are for. Hunt members have gotten away with murder before, and I mean that literally...they really have killed sabs. I know how they are, I've seen drunken thugs at Boxing day hunt meets knock my friends unconscious and get praised for it. I've had to dive out of the way of speeding Land Rovers. I love people like you Char, but them? They're not human.
I actually worked in Veterinary Practice for years, I wasn't a vet, I was I guess a lay nurse/assistant and yes, euthanasia is the hardest thing ever, never felt guilt like it, even in the worst cases, you just can't help it. *bighugs for you* and thanks for being awesome
.
I remember being in class, I must have been 13-14? and one of the girls told me how she and her friends had spent the weekend running the sabs down with their quadbikes and had thrown bits of fox at them and how funny it was when they cried. Didn't have anything to do with her after that, funnily enough. I didn't have many friends, but you couldn't pay me to be friends with someone whose idea of fun was to use a dead animal as a weapon to torment other human beings with. I'm a firm believer that you can get a good measure of people by how they treat animals, and those less privileged than themselves. You pass that test with flying colours, but that girl practically scored negative marks.

Aww thank you DR, it happened a long time ago, but I still can't do those things, forever limited. It still happens, the hunting fraternity in this country have a perverse sense of entitlement when it comes to killing animals in the most disgusting ways possible, they call it "tradition"...for instance, the situation that had me screaming and crying involved what they call a bagged fox, basically terrier men will go out the night before a meet to catch a fox or two and keep them in a sack or box overnight, they'll then let them go in front of the pack in cry (bascially at their most wound up) meaning the foxes don't even have a chance, and our current governement are seeking to make it legal again...
Sorry for the OT stuff guys ![]()

I know of a sab who was paralysed from the neck down after being run over by a quad bike. It's disgsuting that they bring up psychopathic children like that. Just what society needs more of right? You're right, and that's how I measure someone's character too, also how animals react to people, cats in particular.

It's the best way to get a measure of a person. And disheartening when you discover how many people don't pass the test.
I knew it was still an issue in England, but not the particulars. That's...awful, both the "sport" and the people participating. I really hope they don't make it legal again, it's barbaric.
Ajna, you are amazing for fighting for the foxes. And I'm sorry it left you with a permanent injury.
I expect a lot of us will have healthy populations of the little fennecs in our games. I know they're just virtual, but there's no way I'll be able to kill them. My guilt over the redesigned dragon fights will be bad enough.
Well, at the risk of being painfully teasing I did want to say...
Solas has a very lovely voice
Ooooh, I'm glad! And please, continue to be painfully teasing. We soak up any tidbits about Solas like a sponge!

Yup, anything furry will be fine in mine haha. I'm going to try and run away from anything furry that's trying to eat me.
Have to agree with the dragon thing, I feel so sad everytime I watch that gameplay video, the way she screams (I mean the scream of pain, not the banshee type stun scream lol)
I'm such a big softie...and I love dragons...

I ran out of likes again! So, liking this in spirit.
I'm the same, I love dragons. And the way you have to incapacitate her one limb at a time...all I could think was, "Noooo, she's just protecting her babies!" I would make a horrible warrior in real life. I'd be more like Solas, passed out in some ruins with a creature or two snoozing on my chest. Of course, I think we're all a bunch of hippie hedge mages in here. ![]()

Oh I'm most definitely a big hippie hedge mage haha.
*snipping all this out because stuff*
*snippy snippy lovelovelovenooneneedstoseethis*
On second thoughts, I've decided to stay out of this talk. I don't know enough about the subject.
Steering back to the topic of DA:I and Solas...

Yeah, I'm gonna be a wreck for the dragon fights. Pretty obvious by my screen name that I adore dragons. And there's just something about the realism of this new engine... the older dragons seemed more "video gamey" so they were just another boss to battle through. But this Frostbite engine... oh, God, the graphics and the sounds. My heart hurts when she cries out in pain... and when she screams in anger as the party slaughters through her children.
I can't. I just... can't. ![]()
Also, loved the teasing, Allan! Please feel free to tease us more anytime!

Nice one DR, I'm much happier with this topic ![]()
ohmigosh i've been brought to tears like several times by all these posts and actual open weeping a few others. i'm a panromantic demisexual lady myself
One of the cool things about this forum is being a straight male and yet knowing what this means.
Which makes this an amazing comment!

More dragon-hide boots for me.
I hope we can have a friendly dragon in this game.

I still haven't ridden a dragon in Skyrim...apart from Odahviing...
For those @dragonage fans waiting on the @PatrickWeekes interview, it should be live later this afternoon. I asked many of your questions!
