The elf, Dirthamen's vallaslin, treehouses [ancient elf stories say they lived in trees, so Solas says]... there is some connection between elves and Avvar.

 

There's parallels to be seen between the elven pantheon and the Avvar gods oh indeed. Tyrdda's LEAF-EARED lover is the LADY OF THE SKIES

As a PS3 user, I'm pretty used to getting things last. ^^; Though I admit, I really can't wait to play this DLC because I've been waiting forever for this.

I can at least wipe my tears away with Bloodborne. That will keep me going while I wait.

 

I could buy DAI again on my laptop, I think it would work.. Probably not well enough. I'll stick it out on my PS4. Hopefully it won't be a Skyrim DLC-sized wait because that was horrific. So horrific.

We PS users will just sit back and let you guys iron out the bugs for us  mwahah!

I jest. Hopefully it won't be as buggy as the main game has been for some.

 

I should have paid more attention to that Awakenings basement. I remember getting all the keys, unlocking some statues, going into a room, fighting something. Looting all the things. Leaving. Something something, Avaar, something. The only Avaar I paid much attention to were the two talking statues in the Wending Woods. They were Avaar, weren't they?

For real, though, I'm so excited! This sounds like the kind of stuff Solas might have a few things to say about and I'm pumped just for that! And it must not be after the game since he's in the party but I doubt anything but a DLC that leads up into DA4 (aka Wolf Hunt) will be postgame. At least I hope not, because my usual party is built for Solas to be in it and it would suck to go through a lot of content without him.

 

BUT AGAIN, DLC!!!! I will be latching onto ALL the spoilers once it's available!

Alright...I managed to 'adult' enough that I've stayed away from stalking/commenting in this thread for several weeks.  However....I can no longer adult(and let's be honest, it was more sanity saving than anything, the silence on DLC was agonizing).  This was the first place I came when I saw the twitter post.  Everyone here has so much aggregated insight between twitter postings and whatnot...

 

I will happily unadult for the next few days/however much time until this DLC actually releases.  And I'm so glad I'm playing Awakening right now.

Well. My work productivity has just dropped to ****.

 

I guess going by the characters shown it would have to be set during the game rather than after. Which will be sad for my completionist playthrough since that's sitting right before the final battle and they're all broken up already. The other Lavellan is right before ToM, so I guess the bright side is I can see if there is a difference in dialogue with Solas.

 

Edit to add: Avvar stuff is perfect and I am glad we get to explore that a bit. I wish we could have had a good conversation with the Sky Watcher after recruiting him, since he was kind of awesome.
