For some reason bioware had a strong embargo on the DLC. I am guessing this could be the pound of flesh microsoft demanded, and they wanted to toss it out without dangling the DLC bait for longer than needed for the folks who can't get to it.

 

Bioware QA person confirmed companion dialogue.

I can't believe I am going to be a Debby-Downer for a moment. I saw a post over in Scuttlebutt, saying that it has a level suggestion of 20+ (??). If that is so, then I fear that there will be little to no new dialogue for the companions. Okay, mostly I am thinking about Solas. - of course -

The thing is, most companion related stuff will have been long past. And for Solasmancers, many/most will have already been dumped. Granted, it isn't like the only dialogue to be had, is romance related. Not even. Buuut, as I said, so much companion content "in general" will have already come to pass. I could see a bit of banter, and a few random comments regarding the quest content, but nothing else.

I'll stop being a party-pooper now. Sorry.

I think Nik said level 20. I tried a rift at lvl 20 (my current level) and got my ass handed to me on normal.

My canon is a dual-wield rogue. I rely upon my tank in there with me and my mages backing us up on the lines. Usually Solas and Dorian.

The DLC is available for Xbox One users right now.

I'm totally and definitely not fashionably late for the DLC hype train, but... Tomorrow, why must I be an adult for you and work and study? I want to spend the day with a DLC date. I need to, don't you understand? Welp, at least I know where $15 is going tomorrow. It's a good day to be a PC player it seems. Even better to be an Xbone. Though I am genuinely sorry to the other console players for the agonizing wait they'll endure. That price though. I mean, I'm probably not gnashing my teeth over it as much as some people, since I already had a bit of money set aside specifically for DLCs. But from what I can tell people see it as a bit high? Oh well. It's not too bad. Better than $20, at least. Plus, on the bright side, this brings us one step closer to a Solas DLC, doesn't it?

I just found out I will be getting the slightest of extra money this month so that will cover the DLC for me. I need to finish a few things tonight but I am really tired and also anticipating tomorrow's DLC for PC that I just want to be lazy, watch Netflix, and drink tea.

That's what's a bit confusing. Xbox One users are playing it now, but for other platforms, it seems we'll have to wait for it to be available. Maybe PC version might be available after the trailer is released? And Mark Darrah tweeted that they "can not discuss when Jaws of Hakkon will be coming on other platforms". ("Other platforms" meaning PS3/PS4/Xbox 360.  ) 

 

And yes, I'm still waiting for that trailer to surface.

I linked an article above. This was a glitch for XBOX ONE.  It was supposed to be released with the PC. When that is, is anyone's guess. I imagine maybe 12am PST???

Okay. I'll say one thing. The combat is WAY harder...holy ****** sh!t....i died by giant potato fat thing animal things....idek what they are....but they are EVERYWHERE. And spiders too...EVERYWHERE. 

 

Be afraid....be very afraid...

 

Edit: I do not recommend trying to be cool and going there under levelled even with all your fancy gear and "perfect" party. you will still get your @ss handed to you....

That's why every protagonist has them as their worst fear.  It doesn't matter what game, or what genre.  If there are spiders, they are the WORST.  Period.
